SS501's Kim Hyung Jun expressed his frustration with younger idols over twitter, finding them disrespectful and rude.
The singer became upset due to younger people trying to avoid him, making him feel disrespected.
"These days, the younger ones are avoiding my glance so they can get away with not greeting me. I was at Mokdong today and I'm getting so mad. You better not catch my eye, dongseng," his tweets read.
It is customary in Korea to respectfully greet or even bow to your seniors and elders, therefore, Kim Hyung Jun felt like he was shown the respect he was entitled to.

Definitely. There is no room for negotiation when it comes to respecting your elders/seniors. Such news rather surprises me because, from what I heard/saw and understood of Korean culture, they pride themselves very much for their distinctive rules of showing proper respect. Just take the honorifics (i.e. -ssi, -nim) and proper speech (i.e. ending in -yo) for example.

i think hyung is right. i saw him back when he was still one of those newbies and has been respectful to everyone. he has high respects for leader hyun joong even if they are apart.

Since it has always been a custom to show respect to your elders there then YES I believe they should. I can understand having a day of not wanting to talk to people, therefore not looking them in the eyes and acknowledging them but I also believe that more people should be considerate and show respect more, not just over there but everywhere. Hyung Jun is in the right to want to be respected if for no other reason (including age) then because of his accomplishments.
loool, Koreans are always overdoing about respect... just because someone has more experience, if needed you must do what he asks you xD
it's pretty fine to greet people, even without these older-elder status. to ignore someone is a little rude, yes, but everyone does it xD

because in korea you must respect your olders and your sunbae's (people who are more experienced than you at something)

i don`t know who they are ... but i agree with him , it must be hurt him so much that he wrote it on twitter ... after all you should respect your elder ... i think those idol is who he know`s them good cuz he`s upset so much
it's best that koreans stick to their culture and try not to lose it cause their culture is the main thing that has attracted so many people around the world ><
