Show Luo Cancels Promotional Activities in Japan

Having garnered impressive sales for his previous Japanese single"Magic", Show Luo was placed in a tough dilemma over whether he should cancel his promotional activities in Japan for the release of his first full Japanese album.

Two concerts in Tokyo were scheduled for September 29 & 30 but, had to be cancelled costing him approximately TWD$10,000,000. This is due to the tensions between Japan and China's rift over a fishing island, he found it unfavourable to proceed with promotional activities in Japan. Even his fans have left him many messages expressing their concerns on his safety if he goes.

Do you think he made the right decision?

i feel like this is the stupidest thing ever. He is a chinese person. NOT the entire chinese government. The fact that he has to be concerned for his safety at all for this reason is completely ridiculous. Stupid world.

I believe his decision is the best for now; it probably wasn't easy for him to make such a choice in the first place, so, as fans, we should just support him no matter what. :)

Japan is safe for Chinese people. Not sure I can say the same for Japanese people though. My friend was attacked today by three Chinese girls in masks. In Japan.
But there wont be Japanese riots. A handful of people will protest (news said 5 people showed up to protest outside the Chinese embassy) but that's it.

Aw... how sad. I guess it's for the best though. I wish he'd just postpone it.

I don't think Japanese people will attack him. I mean Japanese people aren't as wild as Chinese. The issue is about islands but Chinese destroys even products and businesses, even making fight with chinese people who uses Japanese products but I don't see Japanese do that to Chinese. Maybe he'll just have trouble once he get back to his home country

I would be more concerned about Japanese people going to China. I see Chinese people everywhere in Tokyo and no one cares. Japan is a country where people think the government should take care of all these international problems, so you don't see regular citizens protesting, or even caring enough to the point of saying much about it.

probably a wise decision since theres is problems on both sides but no offence but the fishing island had always been apart of China so why fight over it now?

WHAT safety concerns?!?! If he goes to Tokyo, he'll be endangered by the Japanese? or he'll be attacked by Taiwanese/Chinese when he goes back home?

I'd be more concerned about latter....

It is petty, but rioting and anti Chinese/Japanese sentiments are getting pretty serious on both sides. It was probably a smart decision just to be safe.

I think you need to get one thing straight, there is hardly any "anti-chinese" riots or even demonstrations going on in Japan right now.

That's not what my Japanese coworkers say.

Not to the extent of China currently, for sure, where people are ripping citizens out of their Japanese cars and smashing them, but it's still here and there, the Japanese government just doesn't publicize it. So say my coworkers.
