J-Pop sensation Shoko Nakagawa is set to provide the theme song and voice of Saori Kido, the reincarnation of Athena.
The theme song will be titled, “Pegasus Gensou ver. Ω“, and will be a remake of the original opening song, “Pegasus Gensou“. While Nakagawa would have been 2-3 years old when the anime first aired, she said she was fascinated as she watched it.
The new series will be set 25 years after the original manga and anime adaption. The story will follow Kouga, a 13-year old boy who must follow in the footsteps of the legendary saint Seiya.
Saint Seiya Ω will be broadcasted on TV Asahi every Sunday at 6:30 beginning April 1st.
