According to the March issue the Monthly Flowers magazine, it is announced that Aloha Higa's Shirokuma Café (Polar Bear Café) will be getting an anime adaptation.
The comedy manga was first launched in Monthly Flowers in 2006 as Higa's first published work. The show will begin airing on April 5, featuring Takahiro Sakurai as Shirokuma (Polar Bear), Jun Fukuyama as Panda, and Hiroshi Kamiya as Penguin.
Director Mitsuyuki Masuhara, who had previously directed Chi's Sweet Home and Kobato, along with writer Toru Hosokawa (Coji-Coji), and anime studio Pierrot will be adapting the manga.
Shirokuma Café (Polar Bear Café) follows the daily life of penguins, grizzly bears, and other animals at a café run by a polar bear.
