It has been announced that SMAP's Shingo Katori and Tomohisa Yamashita will starring in a new drama titled "Monster". This will be their first drama together and the first time that they will play the role of detectives.
"Monster" is a detective-mystery drama that tackles the lives of two detectives. Katori plays the role of a meticulous detective named Hiratsuka Heihachi who hates doing things in the usual way. Heihachi appears civil to everyone, but is actually hiding in a different persona. While Yamashita will play the role of a rookie detective named Saionji Kosuke who have strong ideals on morals and justice. At the start of the drama, the two will not see eye-to-eye due to their differences, but eventually, Hiehachi will start recognizing Kosuke's potential.
Katori and Yamashita are reportedly looking forward in working together. The said drama will air on October at TBS.
