In an attempt to attract Chinese people to their country, Tourism Australia has chosen Rainie Yang and Show Luo to star in a drama series to promote tourism to Australia.
The series will include five 10 minute episodes, each shot in different locations and featuring different locations for people to visit.
In addition to filming the series, the two will be given over $1 million to travel around Australia and share their experience through their social networks.
"Through the ages, tourism has generally been about word of mouth and in a digital age people like Show Lo and Rainie Yang are word of mouth personified. The power of celebrity and the power of new channels to reach more people more often is huge. It creates a great platform for us to promote Australia," Andrew McEvoy, Tourism Australia's managing director, stated.
China is Australia's fastest growing market for tourism, generating $3.6 billion in spending.
The new drama will be aired online on tudou.com and Tourism Australia's Youtube page starting in April.
