PSY's music video "Gangnam Style", which has seen popularity around the world, has become the most watched K-pop video of all time on YouTube, beating Girls' Generation's "Gee".
At the time of this article's release, "Gangnam Style" had reached 84,535,739 views since being released on July 15th. The video has made a big impression in the United States, accounting for nearly 1/2 of its views.
Prior to September 1st, the most viewed K-pop video belonged to Girl's Generation's "Gee". The song has been attributed to being one of the first big songs to bring K-pop to a wider audience. The video currently has 83,786,312 views on YouTube.
PSY's YouTube success has translated into success offline as well. The rapper has been in the United States promoting the song and meeting with an American music agency. The song has begun playing on the radio in various parts of the country.

just because its so rediculous... but i dont really think its good news for korea... because they're just making themself look rediculous... anyway not that i care so much... it might aswel promote kpop as a whole making bigbang and 2NE1 and such become popular more easier in the west...
