Pledis Entertainment will be debuting a new boy band named Seventeen in 2013. The group will consist of 17 guys with an average age of 17.
Originally, the company planned on debuting the group at the end of this year. However, their debut has been delayed in order to find the best mix of guys.
"We haven't confirmed all of the members of Seventeen yet. We're still trying to find a balance. About half of the 17 members have been chosen," a representative stated.
Pledis has stated that the group will not have a graduation system like After School, but instead will have a fixed group of members. They also shared that unit groups will also be considered.

Ok I love how everyone is freaking out over 17 members. If you ask me that isn't that much. A-peace had 21 and the AKB48 franchise has over 48 members. I think the most difficult part would be their names because they will most likely have similar names so maybe they will have stage names?? (Like that is any easier). Do you know how long it took me to figure out that Sol and Taeyang were the same person?

wow...17 members, I'm not against this, but isn't that almost 20?!?!!? I guess it is a bit too large, but if there are subgroups, I wouldn't mind. I like this and the concept seems interesting. looking forward to it
