Painted Skin II starring Zhou Xun, Vicki Zhao and Chen Kun has completed at least three shoots in Beijing (Hebei) as well as plains of inner Mongolia. Then production will also take place in Tibet that requires at least 20 days of shooting.
According to the creative director, Arthur Wong Ngok Tai on why Tibet was chosen as the ideal place for shooting the next instalment of the movie, is due to the "sapphire blue sky and all white buildings which gives an incredible feeling of pristine, purity and nobility of love...like an epic Eastern fantasy!"
As for promotional trailers and posters, this will be unveiled early November.
