Nakagawa Shoko, SKE48 and more came to the March 2nd premiere of Disney's Tangled, which opens in theaters across Japan on March 12th.
Disney's latest animated feature Tangled had its Japanese premiere on March 2nd. The movie follows the familiar story of Rapunzel with an adventurous twist as she escapes her tower prison and finds her way into the outside world for the first time. In attendance was Nakagawa Shoko, who voiced Rapunzel in the Japanese dub, wearing a pink dress similar to her character's own in the movie. In her appearance at the premiere, Nakagawa said that she was moved by the film's ability to touch people's hearts regardless of age or gender.
Guests at the event included SKE48's Kizaki Yuria, Ogiso Shiori, Takayanagi Akane and Kaneko Shiori, models Gouriki Ayame, Tsuchiya Hazuki, and Miyazaki Emiri, and actresses Tamaru Maki and Tsubaki Oniyakko. Speaking on the behalf of her fellow SKE48 members, Takayanagi commented, "Disney movies have been with all of us since we were young, so we've grown up watching them. Both the visuals and the music in this movie are beautiful, and the story is full of both laughter and tears, so it's wonderful!"
Tangled opens in Japanese theaters on March 12th.
