It has been known that SM Entertainment will be producing a Korean version of one of Japan's biggest dramas, "Hana Kimi". After considering many people for the main roles, SM Entertainment has made the final casting for the lead roles.
It has been announced that SHINee's Minho will be the show's male lead while f(x)'s Sulli will be the show female lead.
The show will be called "To The Beautiful You" and will be directed by Jun Ki Sang, the same director of one of Korea's biggest dramas, "Boys Over Flowers". The show will be aired on SBS during the second half of the year.

I think it would be better if it was Amber instead of Sulli.. Just saying.. And they better have a great actor for Nakatsu, because Ikuta Toma's Nakatsu was just amazing.
And don't forget Oguri Shun and Horikita Maki!

I mean I really love the Japanese version of Hana Kimi, especially Nakatsu Shuichi..
Minho has talent for acting (more than for singing IMHO) but very little experience. Sulli is a great artist, but fails at acting (or just haven't get the chance to act in more serious roles, that is). It's okay that they remake the drama, but the problem with kdrama is that all what most kdrama is about is beautiful girls being perfect and showing off and the viewers have to feel sorry for them for no reason... (Mary Sue anyone?). Korean films on the other hand are incredibly good and deep, but the dramas are not about art anymore. Of course there are exceptions, but I doubt this will be one. Not like the original story is a deep plot anyways

omg >< i don't care if minho or sulli can or can't act, the korean scriptwriters are gonna ruin the plot >< it's a light hearted fluff story but they're gonna turn it into a angsty melodrama. i'll watch it just to see how it is but i'm bracing myself for a failure

I'm uncertain about how the Korean ver of this drama will turn out to be too... but I don't understand why people are saying that Korean dramas are always remakes of Jdramas??? While there were a few remakes, at least 90% of Kdramas are ORIGINAL. Or else they wouldn't be so popular with everyone.
What, aren't there like 4 different versions of Hana Yori Dango? Even the Japanese made a remake of You're Beautiful. If there's a popular drama, it's very likely that there will be a remake of it... I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing, just business :/
If I would have a chance to have my words heard by koreans producers. Stop copying. Thats not gonna be interesting. I put my fingers up, 30 episodes plus tears, stupid dramatic girls with mouth open. As they always show. Don't they have any fresh ideas besides making remakes. I didnt even like the japanese remake. Let Oguri, Maki, Ikutas to be the first and last whom we remembered.

Uh... don't care about the remake, but Minho? I don't think he has the skills to be a lead actor yet. He was okay in Salamander Gang, but Taemin is still better at this point despite the fact that I wouldn't give him a lead either.

That Minho guy will be the male lead? Not that interesting and if the director will be the same as BOF, I so hope he won't suck this one.
