On the latest episode of SBS' "Strong Heart", MBLAQ's Lee Joon discussed the difficulties he faced growing up in a poor family.
The singer explained that growing up his family could only afford him one ballet apparel. He felt ashamed and his pride was hurt. He was so embarrassed that he would practice at school alone at night.
"We didn't have any money, so I couldn’t even go on school trips," he shared.
Despite the difficulties he faced growing up in poverty, the idol pushed through the hard times, graduating from high school and pursuing his dream of dancing. After having a rough start, he feels blessed to be an idol.

well i wouldn't say he was poor just his family was in a rough situation.. but i hope he stays humble
That's what he calles being poor? Not having ballet clothes and not going on school trips? Sad, yes, but it doesn't sound like he lived in poverty if that's all he had to deal with.
That maybe. But I doubt he would tell everything to the press, there was probably more to it. And for a kid not going on school trips is a tragedy.
