Rock bands Unicorn and L'Arc~en~Ciel's label Ki/oon Records today announced the change of their name to Ki/oon Music. April 1st will mark the 20th year anniversary since its founding.
The music industry in recent years have had a dramatic restructuring of how they distribute music. Although the mission hasn't changed where the best artist will be presented as the center of the label company, the methodology and roles are beginning to change.
In such an age, we must not be caught in the image of a traditional record label, but we have been able to change into a record company.
Besides the band Unicorn, ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION, Chatmonchy, NICO Touches the Walls and other artists are under this label.

Actually not only Japanese alternative rock but japanese music and japanese rock overall, it's just that putting them under the single word "J-rock" seems inappropriate for me, given the different styles in rock itself and the weird almost all the j-rock bands are they need special consideration

meaning Nico Tocuhes the Walls and Asian Kungfu Generation, and I also like DOES, but not to the same extent.

If I remember correctly one of my favorite J-Pop bands, Home Made Kazoku, is under Ki/oon.
