Southern All Stars's Kuwata Keisuke special best album 『I LOVE YOU -now & forever-』 won the Oricon Weekly Album charts top spot for the week of 13th August (Oricon's calendar), selling 61,000 copies. This is the album's 3rd week at #1 in a row, selling over 614,000 copies in total.
This makes Kuwata Keisuke the 4th artist of 2012 to slay the album charts 3 weeks consecutively, with the other 3 being EXILE, Mr. Children and Amuro Namie. All 4 of them have musical activities traced back to at least 1990s. It will also be his first album to achieve this record since his solo debut 25 years ago.
I LOVE YOU -now & forever- is currently the 4th best selling album of 2012, with Mr. Children monopolising the top 2 while EXILE is at #3. Amuro Namie follows behind at #5.

It was no surprise that he actually sold that many copies and stayed for 3 weeks at the top seeing the albums is full of good songs and how popular he is in Japan. And beside that his team sure did some great marketing as his album is played all over the cd shops, shopping malls plus banners all over the buildings, train stations, trains and subways. It's a well deserved success!
