Jay Chou Won't Be Invited To "The Viral Factor" Sequel

Despite the box office success Jay Chou has helped bring in his latest movie "The Viral Factor", it is rumored that the singer will not be invited to return for the movie's sequel.

According to reports, the movie's production company feels like Jay's martial arts skills were not good enough for the action series' demanding choreography. It sometimes took many takes before getting a usable shot.

Jay is also said to have been difficult to work with on set. He reportedly was more concerned about his looks on film than doing good work. He also would ask for stunt doubles to take over during tiring fight scenes.

Investors are said to be looking into casting Donnie Yen or Andy Lau to fill Jay's role.

While Jay may not be invited to act in the sequel of "The Viral Factor", he has already stated that he will not do any other action films.

Hmm, this article makes him sound a bit lazy. A lot of people insist on doing their own stunt scenes, but I guess it isn't for everyone.

Andy Lau! although i really like Donnie so i guess you cant go wrong with either
from all these news i been hearing lately about Jay he seems like a very self centered person...

Maybe so, but you've got to be a special kind of crazy to do stunts in an action film. Respect to the people that do them. Just a normal actor being looked down upon for calling in a stunt double- probably felt pressured to go beyond his comfort zone, and in that line of work you can end up dead with a small hitch.

Jay Chou isn't self-centered, he's just a multi-talented person and it's not his fault that the news loves him.

oh ok i thought from all the praises he gets i thought he was some kind of special talent but i guess he is not
its fight scene btw not some flip my car many times while its on fire kind of scene
i guess they all cant be like Jackie Chen these days

"he fell from a tree and fractured his skull. Over the years, Chan has dislocated his pelvis and broken his fingers, toes, nose, both cheekbones, hips, sternum, neck, ankle and ribs on numerous occasions." Not going to fact check wikipedia on this one... but the outtakes alone show that Jackie still has the devil's own luck even with his laundry list of injuries.
