Popular AKB48 idol Itano Tomomi 3rd single Jyuunen Go no Kimi e was released last week. It sold 73,000 copies in its 1st week run on the Oricon weekly singles charts, peaking at #2 for the week of May 7th.
This becomes her 3rd consecutive single release since her debut single to all chart on the Oricon Top 3, with the previous 2 works being Dear J (#2 peak) and Fui ni (#1 peak). This makes her the 1st person in about 10 years to establish this record under the solo female category.
The previous solo female to achieve this record was ex-Morning Musume's Maki Goto with her single "Te wo Nigitte Arukitai" back in 2002.

i was curious to what people thought of her live performace
I haven't seen, but there's enough stuff out there to know that she's not one of AKB's singing stars- and AKB isn't all that tough of a standard to begin with. I like this latest song though, but I know she's never going to be able to reliably sing it well live without err... technical help, so I know I'll just have to enjoy the recorded track, cuz that's probably as good as it gets.

Her dream before AKB was more fashion oriented so now worry.
And AKB members singing skill are in tier, Takahashi Minami, Kashiwagi Yuki, all of the DIVA member are top tier while Tomochin is probably like 3rd tier. But no worry. AKB concept is to see the hardwork someone make to"improve" not the actual polish talent. Since Tomochin did sound better, it's what matter.
Yeah, I'm well aware, if I think a bit too kind to Miyazawa and Umeda (probably 2nd tier singing, dancing is good- seriously good group, no wonder it's not really AKB... haha). Current profile pic = AKB member. I understand why she gets the solo songs- it's image- and her image can sell and expand their demographic. But I still kind of smh to see people who should be subgroup support member level get solo gigs and center spots when there are more than a dozen better singers and dancers in the organization. AKB is a platform- let Tomochin focus on fashion and modeling- why push someone so far into a solo singing career when you know it's not just on the bad days that she'll need a voiceover?
