On a soon-to-be-aired episode of MBC's "Weekly Idol", a survey was conducted in order to see who K-pop singers would select as the idol most likely to become the biggest star in 2012.
Members of B1A4, Wonder Girls, T-ara, and Secret participated in the survey, which ultimately revealed the "Nation's Little Sister", IU, as their top pick. As of late, the teenage soloist has been garnering much attention, first for her 2010 hit track "Good Day", and now for her recently released full-length album "Last Fantasy".
In regards to the winner's current expansion into the Japanese market, Song Ji Eun of Secret commented, "I think she'll become the 'Nation's Little Sister' in Japan as well.". Narsha of Brown Eyed Girls added, "She has a face that will have a mass appeal in Japan."
IU's best friend, Ji Yeon of T-ara, also offered hopeful encouragement as she reasoned, "I picked IU because I just want her to do well."
18-year-old IU was called during the taping to be congratulated by the cast. This episode of "Weekly Idol" will air later this week on the 7th.
