Hong Ki will take the place left by Tony An and will start working at "M Countdown" charts from August 30th. F.T. Island member has been chosen by producers for being "witty and fluent in Japanese" aside from being very popular overseas.
The announcement took place on August 27th when Jung Yoo Jin ("M Countdown" producer) described him as "the most suitable to host the global music chart show"
