EXILE’s AKIRA “Working Holiday” movie, which was first screen last March for the 4th Okinawa International Film Festival will be screened in Shinjuku theaters in Tokyo this November 17th.
Akira’s role for the said movie is quite similar with his current role for the TV drama remake of “Great Teacher Onizuka”. In “Working Holiday”, Akira plays the role of a former motorcycle gang member-turned-host, who one day finds himself being the father of an 11 y/o Roi Hayashi. Akira finds himself struggling to fill the gap of his absence in his son’s life by doing some unexpected father-son bonding moments. The movie is expected to bring-in lots of laughter and tears.
Director Koichi Okamoto, who made his directorial debut with the “Working Holiday”, said that Akira’s natural acting was the reason he was chosen for the role. Akira was able to express a father’s strength and tenderness in the movie.
“Working Holiday” will hit the theaters on Nov 17th.
