B.A.P Wants To Become Leaders In The Music Industry

Rookie boy band B.A.P. sat down with Star News for an interview. The group talked about a range of topics, from their goal as artists to their debut album.

The leader of the group, Bang Yong Guk, revealed that B.A.P's goal is world domination. Despite being new, B.A.P is already looking ahead and sees themselves becoming a global group. Like other well-established groups such as Big Bang and Super Junior, B.A.P hope to be talked about all over the world.

To become the very best, the group wants to become leaders in the music industry. The group doesn't like following what everyone else is doing. Instead, they prefer to be trailblazers. The group wants to set the trends not only in music, but in dance and fashion as well.

The group's ability to break away from what everyone else in the industry is doing is apparent in their debut. While other boy groups sung about love, B.A.P decided to go in a different direction with their debut single "Warrior". The song is a criticism of society, a subject other groups rarely touch.

"We wondered how it would be if we incorporated a weighty topic like one that criticizes society; that is how ‘Warrior’ was born. I want to keep singing songs that have morals to them," Himchan stated.

Live performances for the song have left people wondering whether they're really a rookie debut just making their debut. The boys demonstrate an intensity and exude a charisma uncharacteristic of rookie groups. B.A.P gives their all in their performances, giving so much of themselves that they often break things in the process.

"When we're on stage, something always breaks. We even cut open our hands. We never realize that our bodies have been hurt until the performance ends. When we're up on stage performing, we're so focused that we aren't able to feel that we've been hurt," Jongup stated.

With strong performances, music that stands out, success on the charts and a drive to be the best, B.A.P may just be able to live out their dream of world domination.
