Ayumi Hamasaki's back up dancer turned boyfriend Maro will no longer be appearing on stage with the singer has a dancer.
On December 27th, Ayumi Hamasaki held rehearsals for her series of countdown live performances which celebrate the start of the new year. According to Sanspo, Maro was absent from the rehearsal, forcing the production crew to adjust for the lack of a dancer.
Ayumi Hamasaki released a statement explaining that Maro would no longer be a backup dancer for the singer, but instead has taken on the role of choreographer, working behind the scenes instead of being on stage with his girlfriend.
Maro's last appearance as Ayu's backup dancer was on December 3rd when he performed with her during her appearance on Fuji TV's "HEY! HEY! HEY!".

good for him a little promotion
A little shocking but glad to know that he didn't a quit the industry & is still Ayumi's "co-worker" or something. Keep workign hard!
They look kool together.
I wonder what kind of dances he'll choreograph.
that's good on him, that he was promoted. I only hope he got promoted because of his skills not because of his relationship with her because that would be a bit unfair.
I thought the same thing too actually.
This is a logical step actually, because with this he gets more respect as her boyfriend and dancer. Although at first it seems like bad news, I am glad it is all good
Phew~ at first I thought they had broken up or something. Misleading titles~~ or the way we interpret things, at least. >3<
If I remember correctly Ayu had already said some time ago that Maro wouldn't remain as a backup dancer for much longer. So this doesn't come as a shock to me. I think Ayu had said that when the media first released the news about her and Maro's relationship.
This is a little shocking to me. Only because of the upgrade. Was her a really good dancer... or did she just promote him because she wanted him to have a higher title than just back- up. Gossipy i know but... what is what?
I was a little worried as well because of the title. Haha it's good to know that they are still happily together and can still work with each other. They're so cute together! :3
I was expecting bad news as well, because of the title of the article. xD
That's still cute (^ ^)
Okay...He'll be helping on her dances?
thats still cool though. i thought it was gonna bad news like "they broke up so he's not in it anymore" kind of deal and that wouldve been sad :<
Either way it's really cool that he gets to work with his girlfriend. And he's a lucky guy.
