After months of rumors about when they would take the next step in their relationship, Aya Ueto and EXILE's HIRO announced that they have officially gotten married on September 14th.
The couple both wrote letters to their fans the day they registered their marriage. "I can't begin to express how grateful I am towards all of you for supporting me, even through all the tough times. From the bottom of my heart, thank you," Ueto wrote
The couple has been dating for 2 years. Rumors that the two would get married began circulating at the beginning of this year.
"During the past two years of our relationship, I've been charmed by HIRO’s masculinity and sense of responsibility. He has always supported me the way I am," she wrote in a press release.
"I've been in the industry since I was 12. I've always had a hectic lifestyle which has made me forget what it is like to have a normal, private life and who I really am...It was HIRO who gave me back a lot of my youth and brought a honest smile to my face," she continued.
"I truly respect her way of thinking, her way of life, and all I want from the bottom of my heart is to make her happy," HIRO stated.
The couple has not begun to organize a wedding reception for their wedding, though one is expect in the future.
