Arashi and Maki Horikita have been selected to host Japan's most popular year end show "Kohaku Uta Gassen".
For Arashi, the group will be host for the white team for the 3rd year in a row. Horikita, host of the red team, will be hosting for the first time. Yumiko Udo will be the main host for the program.
"I have been given a very important role and want to end the year with a smile," Horikita stated.
"This year, Japan became one through the Olympics. On December 31st, I will do my best to unify Japan through music," Arashi member Sho Sakurai said.
