During their first day at their Tokyo Dome concert, AKB48 announced their second team shuffle in the group's history. The last team shuffle happened on August of 2009. To a crowd of 48,000 people in Tokyo Dome, a lot of people were surprised at the new teams and certain members moving overseas. Sae Miyazawa and Mariya Suzuki will be moved to SNH48 (Shanghai). While Aki Takajo and Haruka Nakagawa will be moved to JKT48 (Jakarta). Several members were promoted from Kenkyuusei (research students) while Team 4 is officially gone. AKB48 will now be back to Team A, Team K, and Team B.
Below are members who were appointed as new captains and moved to a new sister group.

I was a bit shocked at first, But its good to know that the members themselves said they would like to go abroad. Looking forward to seeing how these new teams work.

As for the issue of the rotating members... known absentees were already posted before at the time you applied for tickets. It's not like you can even go to the shows you want anyway, it's like a 1/30 chance at best, and much worse for anything important. No big deal there. I don't really understand making Mariko captain when she's hardly around though... I guess she's getting more involved with it recently though. But, as they say, their producer is the biggest troll of all, but every risky move can kill the cash cow.
Hahaha, I knew this was coming soon. I gave you all fair warning a couple times that this was almost certainly going to happen. ^_^ Mostly... favorable news... some things are a bit of a bummer, but none of those are things they can't just take back if it doesn't seem to be going so well.

Heard about this last night! Minegishi's move to Team B concerned me a lot since I'm not a huge Team B fan, but I think now Team B just isn't the "cute" team anymore. They're definitely gonna bring it a new aura! Right now I'm most favorable about Team A, but I hope certain members don't get overshadowed by AkiP's future aces being on that team... As for the internationally moved members, Akicha said it was her choice to gain more experience to shoot for her dream. It's surprising as heck to see Sae move, but for all those shuffled, I really hope the best for em. Wonder how things will go from now....
Unlike the last shuffle which was mostly done to even out the teams' popularity a little bit, this one is pretty much a pure shuffle. Team A is GONE- there are -2- members remaining (the same amount JKT has!), and both of them have somewhat limited membership expectancies. Any previous image no longer exists- it's brand new stuff here. Is there news about new stages?
