She appeared on KBS Music Bank on 10th July performing the rock version of the song ‘You Know’ for the first time.
The rock version to the song has been one of the popular hits in her first album. This will be a new image and feeling IU will present after performing the title song ‘Boo’, a light dance song, after her debut.

| AKB48 Forms New Unit For Natto |

Miho Miyazaki, Tomomi Itano, and Tomomi Kasai are all said to love natto, so as a result, they have united to become "Natto Angel."
Their song "Natto Punch!" has already been playing in supermarkets to help sell natto, but it wasn't until Thursday that it was revealed that the song was sung by AKB48 members.
An official website has opened for the new unit. It has not yet been announced if "Natto Punch!" will be released as a CD single. |

Actually, unless you are a hardcore 4minute fan, and you've somehow dug up pre-debut pictures of Jiyoon, chances are you don't know what she looks like either. Jiyoon's trademark is never taking off her shades. 4minute's Jiyoon probably has the most expensive face out of all the kpop rookies, because seeing her without her shades is like trying to unmask batman, or rather batgirl, it's just not gonna happen.

| V.O.S Leader Park Jihun Is A Father And Husband! |

On the 9th, Park Jihun revealed to the press the reason why he couldn’t reveal the truth and talked about the love story with his wife, Seo Myungsun, and about himself being a father.
Park Jihun met his wife during the third year of middle school and started off as pen pals. Their parents did oppose of them once but after receiving the blessing of both families, the two had a normal plan to get married but because of Park Jihun’s debut to be a singer, the wedding had to be postponed.
During October of 2005, after finding out about his wife’s pregnancy, the elders wished for the family to stay together and got them a single room home in Hapjungdong, Seoul. Park Jihun’s mother who lived in Daejun didn’t wish for this event to affect his career so she came to live with the family and took care of the wife.
During June of 2006, the family welcomed a new born son into the family and named his son Bitchan, holding the meaning of “Shine Brilliantly.” But during this time, Park Jihun was busy doing activities and afraid that his company and V.O.S might become a target, therefore he had to hide the truth.
Because of her husband’s busy schedule, Seo Myungsun had to be an unwedded mother. Other than having to sign a marriage registration, the two had to sign son Bitchan’s birth report before passing Myungsun’s entry into the family. The child who recently turned four started attending a playschool since June. At the school there was an event where parents were to attend but because Myungsun was labeled an unmarried mother, he could not participate at the event.
“I couldn’t easily confess the truth due to my career as a singer and the fact someone could target my company and group. But as Bitchan’s father, I wanted to be supporting husband. I met a new company who warmly embraced me when I revealed my story. They blessed my scared heart and gave me confidence. That is the reason why I am strongly revealing the truth.”
“I want to reveal the truth to Bitchan’s friends that he indeed does have a father and I want to dress the woman who has waited for me for so long in a wedding dress so I could stop sinning.”

| YG Ends Contract With Red Queen Media |

YG cannot understand why Red Queen Media has stated . Also YG’s saying that they’ve never received an offer for Se7en to work with Justin Timberlake. Se7en is not planning on doing any activities in Korea this year either.
Also Red Queen Media failed to fulfill all the contract details; the contract term’s over so YG didn’t renew the contract.

There has been a post quoting Red Queen Media that Se7en will have no other American activities, criticising YG Entertainment on Se7en’s American advance posted up on Allkpop on 9th July.
YG Entertainment said, “We contacted Red Queen Media, and have confirmed that whatever was stated was not the official stand of the company. And also about Se7en working with Justin Timberlake, this is the first time we are hearing about it.”
The content to the post on Allkpop wrote:
Red Queen Media stated
“Things were looking great for Se7en. Johnny Wright was going to co-manage his career, we setup deals for Se7en to record a collaboration with Justin Timberlake. We even had Se7en scheduled to sing the national anthem live at an upcoming Dodgers game, as well as present an award at the BET Awards show.
It’s really disheartening, we really felt Se7en was the best candidate to represent Asians in the US. We truly believed he would’ve been the first to break through the US market, especially with all of the collaborations and events we had lined up. It’s unfortunate that YG Entertainment turned down all of these opportunities, but we are still hoping for the best and that they come to the realization of how important this is for Se7en’s career.”
YG also said, “Se7en has worked on preparing for the American advance for 2 years, there is no way he will stop his American advance now.”
YG has also stated that the reason for Se7en’s return to Korea a while back is to settle personal issues, and have nothing to do with this rumours going around.
YG has expressed their response to this rumour as being ‘absurd’. There also also rumours saying that with this event, there has been much friction between Red Queen Media and YG Entertainment.

TVXQ's new single also did well at 182,000 in sales, taking the #2 spot. flumpool, C-ute, Gackt, and John-Hoon also made the top ten with new songs.
In the album charts, Masaharu Fukuyama easily captured #1 with "Zankyo," his first original album in close to three years. "Zankyo" sold 261,000 copies, far more than the latest from the band SID, who landed at #2 with 71,000 in sales. The rest of the top ten was fairly quiet, with only Toshihide Baba breaking in at #10 with a new album. Unsurprisingly, Michael Jackson's "King of Pop" compilation surged up to #4.
Meanwhile, Hayao Miyazaki made some news on the DVD charts, as "Gake no Ue no Ponyo" moved a little more than half a million copies in its first week. This is not unusual for Miyazaki, whose movies have now topped the DVD charts seven times. "Ponyo" also happened to be the top grossing film of 2008, taking in roughly 15.4 billion yen at the box office. |

| New Details About Nodame Movie |

One of the biggest new locations in the movie is going to be the "capital of music", Vienna. Actor Tamaki Hiroshi (29) about the location, "I can feel the weight of all the history this city holds and I’m becomming really tense." Actress Ueno Juri (23) too, "There’s no better place to concentrate than here." Celebrated musicians like Mozart, Beethoven or Brahms have been active in Vienna and you can find statues of them in the local park.
It’s the first time ever that a Japanese movie is going to be filmed in the historic "Wiener Musikverein" and its golden hall, the same hall where even famous Japanese conductor Ozawa Seiji (73) once made an amazing performance. Now it’s Tamaki who gets the honor to conduct "Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony" for the filming of Nodame. Ueno admired his performance, "He looked so cool. You can feel the power of Chiaki’s (Tamaki) personal growth up he went through up until now."
Last month on the 16th, they already started filming in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. They continued in Brno, the Czech Republic and after that they arrived in Vienna, Austria. After Vienna, they went back to Brno also filmed a few scenes Prague. Right now they are in France and about to start filming in Paris. In September they are going to start filming the 2nd part (movie comes in 2 parts). In Vienna they had a team consisting of 60 Japanese, plus a mix of 64 Austrians and Czechs working on the movie. A total of 110 extras came from Japan to appear in several (big) scenes like in the hall.
New cast members are going to be actor Tanihara Shosuke (36), comedian and actor Nadagi Takeshi (38) and comedian Chad Mullane (29). |
