63rd Kohaku Uta Gassen Performers Announced

The performers for the 63rd Kohaku Uta Gassen year end show have been announced.

While many of the artists have performed in years past, there are a few notable newcomers this year. Popular singer-songwriter YUI, who has been a beloved artist for years, will be making her first appearance on the show this year. Following her sudden rise to fame with her breakout hit "PONPONPON", Kyary Pamyu Pamyu will be taking the stage for the first time as well.

Hosting the show this year are Arashi and Maki Horikita. For Arashi, this will be their 3rd year in a row serving as the male hosts for the show, while for Maki Horikita, this year will be her first.
