2PM's Taecyeon and KARA's Nicole are both in talks with MBC to be cast in a new, international version of the popular television program "We Got Married".
After it was announced the MBLAQ's Lee Joon and actresses Oh Yeon Seo will be leaving the regular edition of "We Got Married", it was initially reported that Taecyeon would be cast as a replacement. JYP Entertainment quickly denied the reports, later revealing that he had been asked to join the cast of an international version of the show instead.
"We've received a casting proposal for an international version of 'We Got Married', but his casting isn't finalized. We're still discussing things with the producers," a representative from JYP Entertainment shared.
DSP Media, KARA's record label, also confirmed reports that she was being cast in an international version of the show, releasing a statement very similar to JYP Entertainment's. "It seems like a casting announcement will be made soon," it added.
The international version of "We Got Married" was first discussed last year. The premise of the show will be a South Korean star will be paired with another celebrity from another country, highlighting and bringing together different cultures for a unique experience. The international version will be broadcast in 41 countries.
