2PM's Nichkhun has reached a settlement with the motorcyclist he had gotten into a car accident with and has decided to go on an indefinite hiatus.
Ever since being hit with much criticism for driving while under the influence, Nichkhun has stayed out of the spotlight. Despite the police investigation being over and a settlement being reached, Nichkhun will continue reflecting upon his actions accoring to a JYP Entertainment representative.
Nichkhun and JYP staff members voluntarily visited the police department today for additional questioning about the incident, continuing his cooperation with authorities.

It's an accident. Both of them are at fault. Glad Khunnie decided to take responsibility.
This saddens me a little. The guy hit HIM so I don't understand how it's Nichkhun's fault. I respect that Nichkhun wants to reflect upon the consequences of drinking while driving...But even that was minimal on his part. Two drinks of beer hardly counts as drunk. If anything people should just be grateful that Nichkhun is ALIVE and that the accident wasn't as bad as it could have been. Shouldn't we all be explaining to Nichkhun that we are grateful he is here with us instead of complaining about something that wasn't 100% his fault?
Nichkhun did hit him hun. No i'm not an anti, I love 2pm and nichkhun, but didn't you see the video? Both parties are at fault, which is why he got the standard punishment for DUI at that level.
A hiatus isn't a bad thing because it will not only give him time to reflect, but it gives time for people to calm down a little.

so much damage in the kpop world these past few weeks! why is an indefinite hiatus needed? some kind of coercion by the motorcyclist of JYP or something? idk. it's weird.

He is not the only guy that had a drink and them drove his car in Korea.... It mazes me that he is giving so much for this...
Sure he should be punished for driving drunk ... But all this is just too much...
The accident to me sounded like it was more of the motorcyclists fault than Nichkhuns... He was not charge for the accident only the drunk driving... He called the police, he told themhe had been drinking... He was honest about the whole thing... He needs time to himself to sort things out but not indefinitely. That is too much... As fans there should be a petition going around to send to jyp to have him do his activities and do community service for his indiscretion...
He has appologized and feels bad that he did wrong... Let him go on with his career ...
indefinitely only means it's unknown how long. It could be two weeks for all you know.
I am sure it will be more like months... Probably 4-6... It will not be weeks...

I don't think he needs a "indefinite" hiatus but for sure, he does need some time off to think about this whole situation. Saying "indefinite" is a little overreacting -__-
