Nichkhun is of Thai and Chinese descent. He was born in United States, moving around to various countries, none of which included South Korea. So how did the singer become a member of 2PM? The idol discussed how it happened on the latest episode of MBC's "Radio Star - My Second Hometown".
During the program, Nichkhun explained that while attending school in Los Angeles, he met a JYP Entertainment cast manager at a concert. He was offered a chance to audition, but originally didn't want to accept because he didn't think he could sing and dance well. However, the cast manager's persistence eventually caused him to change his mind.
"I was also given a cast offer from CJ Entertainment around the same time," he revealed. The show's MC expressed his joy that ended up with JYP Entertainment.
