2NE1's Dara, who shaved off the side of her head, cried when she underwent her dramatic hairstyle change.
"While I was getting my head shaved, sorrow just crept up and I started crying. I did it without thinking it through because we decided that a new transformation was needed while in the midst of rehearsing. It was my first time getting my head shaved and I thought to myself that maybe this is how men who shave their heads to go off to the military feel," Dara stated.
Fellow group member CL revealed that at first she was the one who was supposed to have the shaven hairstyle. However, she couldn't go through with it, allowing Dara to take her place.
Despite crying over her radical hairstyle, Dara said that she is no longer bothered by it since her hair will grow back fast.

BUT I will say that she ROCKS it. she looks so awesome with this hairstyle, so at least it wasn't a disaster!

She'll look beautiful anyways, but I don't blame her for crying.... all that hard work in keeping her hair long and healthy and just the sense of confidence that comes with hair. It will grow back, but I know what it's like to see an undesired amount of your hair on the ground
This hairstyle was in trend here a year ago, still kind of is. Don't like the style, but Dara still looks good. I can understand why she cried. Hair is a big deal, heck i don't trust anyone to cut my hair.
even if she didn't like it, her hair will always grow back, so really there's nothing to cry about

I shaved that much of my hair like a month ago. It looks super awesome on pretty much everyone I have seen it on. And it feels so cooooool
