Added by: dilaChan  |  Date: 04 July, 2008 (3 hours ago)  |  Views: 203  |  Source: tokyograph.com
Singer Nanase Aikawa is putting out her first new single in two years. She is forming a temporary unit called Crimson-FANG to release the song "Circle of Life", which is being used as the theme for the movie "Kamen Rider Kiva: Makaijo no Ou." The song goes on sale August 6, three days before the film opens in theaters.

Although the members of Crimson-FANG have not been announced, Aikawa is said to be working with a foreign musician. Because the movie is themed around the past and present, the song will have two versions, one labeled as "1986ver." and the other as "2008ver."

Aikawa gave birth to her second child in September 2007. While she has performed in concert multiple times since then, she has not had any new CD releases since "EVERYBODY GOES" in 2006. In addition to this new song, Aikawa plans to put out her next solo album in the fall.

Recently, there have been rampant rumors concerning the disbanding of Twins when it was revealed that Gillian Chung had departed for Hollywood. Charlene Choi appeared at an event yesterday at the Shatin Horsetrack with Jackie Chan, Joey Yung, Nicholas Tse, Yumiko Cheng, Raymond Lam among others, and responded to the rumors. Once again, Charlene strongly denied the disbanding rumors and firmly stated that Twins will collaborate again in the future, "From the second day that Twins was established, there have already been rumors of us splitting, I am already used to them."

Charlene revealed that she found out about the recent disbanding rumors from the newspapers. She emotionally said, "Gillian and Ah Sa used 7 years of time to establish Twins. It was created with little sleep, no rest, and hard work. At this time, we are thinking the same thing, it is not the best time to appear together. As a result, we are each independently learning and gaining experience. There will be a day when we will appear together again. While that day is not today or tomorrow, at this time, we are silently accepting jobs, because every job is an opportunity. I do not wish to hear about the disbanding rumors again."

Wonder Girls Learning English To Break Into Overseas Markets
Added by: dilaChan  |  Date: 03 July, 2008 (24 hours ago)  |  Views: 2,274  |  Source: wondergirls.wordpress.com
Learning english for future overseas performances...Ye Eun's vocabulary is excellent while Sun Mi's pronunciation is the best among the Wonder Girls.

The above-mentioned remarks came from their english tuition teacher who had been offering 24 hours lessons for them in a "passionate manner" since the beginning of May to prepare them for their overseas expansion. Once the Wonder Girls are back in their dorm, they would be conversing as much as possible in english and also try to use it in their daily lifestyle.

In order to express their own thoughts through interviews with overseas media, they are undergoing extra lessons in their free time. So how is their english language ability now? Well, each have their own strengths and weaknesses as they learn the language through "competition".

Their tuition teacher expressed:
Each has their own personality and have different areas which they are stronger in with regards to the english language. Compared to the rest, Ye Eun has a wider range of vocabulary and can construct a beautiful sentence easily. Sun Ye meanwhile has a good basic foundation and has a slight advantage from the rest.

For the two younger members, Sun Mi and So Hee, with them both in high school right now and having received english language education from young, they are able to converse fluently with accurate pronunciation, leaving the JYPE staff feeling satisfied.

Although Yoo Bin has some experience of speaking it since she had lived in America before, the general review is that her pronounciation has a strong Korean dialect accent, which is a far cry from how actual english should be spoken.

To gauge their progress, the members are tested on 400 english words weekly. If they get more than 80% of the words wrong, they are required to write those wrong words for 100 times each. But no member has suffered that fate yet. Because of their hectic schedule, the Wonder Girls can only start revising and work even harder to learn the words when the test date draws near.

According to JYPE, "Since their return from America in March, the Wonder Girls have recognized the importance of them knowing English well enough in order for them to expand into overseas markets. Their passion for learning English has thus increased and the competition between them to do better than each other has only served to raise their level up a notch."

Jay Chou, who is the biggest winner this year with 8 nominations at the GMAs, has a schedule clash with his Wenzhou concert, all he can do is let his "best partner" Vincent Fang go collect the awards in his place.

At last year's GMAs and Golden Horse Awards, Vincent Fang attended in place of Jay Chou, he helped him collect the awards "Best Single Producer" and the Golden Horse Awards "Excellence in Filming for the year in Taiwan", "Best Original Soundtrack", you can say he is Jay's best award collector; this year Jay once again doesn't have time to attend the GMAs, Vincent Fang might have 8 chances to go onstage.

Jay Chou isn't too concerned about winning or losing, JVR Music expect him to get 4 awards, if they achieve this goal, the workers at the concert will hold a celebration party for him after the concert, but he won't celebrate again when returning to Taiwan. But JVR Music promotion planner Zhang Lan Yun said, that a lot of telecommunication experts discovered that after the "Secret" OST was nominated, the download count rose by 20%.

Jay Chou is just too busy, after the fan club "Jay Organisation", established at Alfa Music, was disbanded, JVR Music have confirmed they won't be establishing a new official fan organisation, they've set up a Jay fans section on the company's official website, they don't require fees, their target is not money, JVR Music stressed that the events that they have will not decrease.

Avril remarked that she wanted her show to be like a "rock party." Ai Otsuka is said to have been chosen due to her status as a symbol of the "girls rock" scene.
