Monday Kiz first debuted as 2-man group that consisted of Kim Min Soo and Lee Jin Seong. They named themselves “Monday Kiz”, because the members used to meet every Monday to rehearse.
The duo debuted with their song “Bye Bye Bye”, which was written by popular song-writer Kim Do Hoon, who has also written for Hweesung, SG Wannabe and Gummy. Song-writers Park Hae Won, Kang Eun Kyung and Yoon Seung Hwan made it possible for Monday Kiz to gain popularity in the beginning of their career.
Sadly, in April of 2008 Monday Kiz has lost one of the members - Kim Min Soo, who died in a motorcycle accident. As a result, group stopped all their activities.
Unexpectedly, in the end of March 2010 it was announced that Monday Kiz is going to make a comeback. Two new members were added to the original member Lee Jin Sung for the release of their new album “New Sentimental” in April 2010.
New member - Lim Han Byul first debuted as a member of A'ST1, the group disbanded the following year, luckily he was introduced to Lee Jin Sung by a composer and secured his place in Monday Kiz. The other new member, Han Seung Hee participate in an audition to search for a new member. He was picked from 5000 candidates.
The song “Scatter” from the “New Sentimental” album was written by Lee Jin Seong himself, both music and lyrics. Number one on both Mnet charts and Cyworld, and even fifth for Nate Caller-ring selection.
The group was also featured on Korean drama OSTs such as My Country Calls, Kim Soo Ro, Prosecutor Princess and that's only in 2010.
In May, the group released their 4th album called "ru;t". Instead of leaving their past behind, boys decided to dedicate the main track Don't Go to their former member Kim Min Soo. Their powerful, emotional voices and instrumental arranging bring the best out of Monday Kiz. Definitely an album that can not be missed!
Now, ballad trio Monday Kiz is back on the music scene, releasing a new digital single, entitled "Nostalgia". The tracks are remakes of g.o.d's "Love and Memory" and Park Jung Woon's "If it's a Night Like This", which were hit songs back in the 1990's. They are as good as the originals, if not better.
