Kuroki Meisa is a Japanese model, actress, and singer. She models primarily for the magazine JJ.
Kuroki Meisa was originally a member of the Okinawa Actors Studio group B.B.WAVES, and in February 2004 made her official acting debut starring in the stageplay "Butai Atsumi Satsujin Jiken Heijou kara Kita Onna Keiji" with the theatre group Kitaku Tsukakouhei. The same month she debuted as a model for JJ. She continued to model for the magazine and obtained more and more drama roles, with her film career beginning in 2005. Kuroki has also continued to be a stage actress, and in 2005 and 2006 starred in the stageplay adaptation of "Azumi" and its sequel as Azumi.
Kuroki made her singing debut in 2008 with the digital release of the song "Like This," which is being used for TOSHIBA's Sportio/W62T commercials. Kuroki is on the Sony Music label, but it is unknown when or if the song will be released physically. Meisa had originally sung in the 2007 drama Crows ZERO, but not under her birth name.
* Kuroki is said to be close friends with Horikita Maki, who is also with the Sweet Power agency. The two participated in a duo photobook together entitled "missmatch," shot by Shinoyama Kishin. She has said in a magazine interview that "among people around [her] own age, Maki is the only one [she] can talk to about both work and personal issues."
* It was originally Kuroki's elder sister who was first scouted, but the agency's president noticed a purikura sticker she had that included Meisa and later called her parents in order to scout her as well.
