Thanksgiving

Well thanksgiving has passed. What a day it was! One of my favorite days, while most think of it as "eat a ton of food" day, I look forward to giving thanks. I am very fortunate and am thankful for it. I have a great life, great family, great grades, great everything really. I have to give thanks and a whole day dedicated to it is even better. But now that it has passed I have to look forward to listening to all the television ads about "holiday savings." That is so annoying, but it's life. Just gotta ignore it all. Black Friday is here and my sister and mother went shopping for christmas, personally I don't go out and do that stuff. I prefer to wait for cyber monday.

That's it from me.

My sister is visiting.

The dark one has come, aka my sister. My greatest foe, yet also someone I love. Yeah me and my sister go at it, but it's all for the sibling wars that occur. She is older than me and way different. Anyway she is visiting for thanksgiving. Can't wait to eat all that food, and give thanks for all that I have right now, I am so fortunate compared to a lot of other people who are less fortunate.

I am getting annoyed right now though, because so many are getting ready for christmas, it wouldn't be a problem if I was in another country, but I mean thanksgiving is an american holiday and for people to be getting ready for christmas is like they are ignoring the great holiday coming to us.

For me thanksgiving is very important, I realize that I am fortunate to be in such a country and have so much, much that others do not have. So after thanksgiving I will begin the preparation for christmas, but until then I will get annoyed by talks of christmas, unless of course you are from another country, then I talk to you about it. But american's no. :P

Well this was one heck of a race. I will have to say I loved to be alive this year and watch the political races. From the battle of the Republicans to the major war between Senator Hilary Clinton and President-elect Barrack Obama, it was very exciting. The race could have taken any kind of turn, especially on the democrat side, Clinton and Obama fought it out big time. But only one could be picked in each party, Barrack Obama for the Democrats, and John McCain for the Republicans.

The two battled it out hard, firm supporters on each side, and although I had sided with President-elect Barrack Obama at first, I quickly changed sides because I disagreed with his policies. I supported Senator McCain because I agreed with his policies and hoped that he would be the one to win this long war. Both sides said dirty things and changed their minds on things, and I still believe McCain was the better choice.

I am one person though, and I am underage and cannot vote. So although I could try to persuade I could not vote and be counted among the millions in the United States of America. Now that the elections are over the new President has been chosen, America did not agree with my views, well most of America, and chose President-elect Barrack Obama as president. I can hope that he will do his job and do it well, although I personally doubt that I am sure he can prove me wrong, if he decides to.

I hope that President-elect Barrack Obama will bring the country closer together and listen to both parties. I hope that he will do what many accused President Bush of failing at. I hope that he will do what he says and make our lives better. I hope for a better America while he is in office.

This is all I have to say, although it isn't much I hope it shows you that although I do not agree with President-elect Barrack Obama I still respect him and his office. When he becomes our president in January I will support him, if I can, and disagree with him and hope to inform others of a more republican view so that maybe our voices can make him take both sides of any issue.

Finally, I hope that he can bring positive change as he kept saying, and not negative change. I will respect the office but still disagree with it and fight some of it's policies if I disagree with it. Change is coming that is assured, but whether positive or negative Obama better be ready to have the people criticize him to the limit.

That is all I have to say.

Story Part 7

The sun rose, the palace was large, silent. It was different than that dark dungeon Tian Zhou was forced to reside in. Now that he worked for the emperor he would do his best in order not to get punished and sent back to that wretched hole. He feared the dark dungeon, and what the punishment for failure was scared Tian Zhou. Walking at a brisk pace to see the emperor, for he was summoned, Tian Zhou was thinking carefully. He was to go on a mission, already only a day after being released. The strength he held was not quite at it's best, but he would have to do, or fall into the darkness again.

The mission he would be sent on was not yet known by Tian Zhou, but he hoped it would be relatively easy, so that he would not exert too much energy while in a weak state. He would do his best in any mission, but he feared failure due to weakness. Almost arriving at the doors that would take him to the Hall of Audience Tian Zhou began to think of desertion. Maybe he could desert during the mission and save himself from any fate that might await him. Then again the empire would just hunt him down and destroy him, and that was not a fate he desired. So far he felt his fate would be that of servitude to the empire for the rest of his days, not the most glamorous, but he figured the dungeon was definitely not something he wanted, neither was running from the empire for the rest of his life a goal in mind.

Arriving at the Hall of Audience Tian Zhou told the guard that he would enter. Being allowed access the guard opened the door. Unlike the main entrance Tian Zhou came in through an entrance from within the palace. It was in the middle of the hall on the right side of the throne. Tian Zhou entered, he was still amazed with the beautiful piece of crystal that lay above the emperor, it's design serving it's purpose to send rays of light throughout the room. Walking before the emperor Tian Zhou bowed, staying down he said "I have come as you have summoned me, I will do whatever you tell me to My Lord."

The booming voice of the emperor, sounded making Tian Zhou feel like the sound waves vibrated him, "I have summoned you for your first mission." With a snap of the emperor's fingers a group of four servants came out, each holding a corner of a giant map. Pointing to the map the emperor spoke, "Your mission is to go to the castle in which a Xia De resides. I need him eliminated."

The eyes of Tian Zhou examined the map, he could get there easily, infiltration seemed easy as well, "Is there anything that I must watch for? Does he know his life may be in danger?" Tian Zhou noticed another man appear from the side of the Hall. The man bowed before the emperor, then turned to the assassin.

"I am Bei Nu, I am the one who went to see Xia De. He supplies the rebels with money to fuel their rebellion. While I visited Xia De I noticed one thing, he had very many guards. The man knows what kinda threats he faces, he knows that we suspect his traitorous ways. That is why the Great Lord is sending you on this mission." Bei Nu turned from the assassin and walked back to the side of the hall, where the assassin noticed other men were. Most likely the emperor's advisors.

The booming voice came, "Now go! You have heard all you need to know. I am sending a team with you. Ten will go with you on this journey. Meet them at the front of the capital, at the gates. Leave me." The emperor waved his hand and Tian Zhou left the hall.

Tian Zhou went to the gates of the capital and beheld four men. The emperor had said ten men, so it was to Tian Zhou's understanding that he would have to wait for the rest before departing. Walking up to the four, each introduced themselves, Tian Zhou really didn't care. Working alone was a strong suit, and having to work with others might slow him down. Sitting down on the ground Tian Zhou meditated, thinking of how he might proceed. After a few moments the rest came, sometimes in a group of two, but usually in ones. After all formal introductions were complete Tian Zhou learned they took a little bit of time because they were getting supplies for the mission.

They set off on their journey, the destination was not too far. Maybe five days at most. Tian Zhou thought it best to take their time to conserve their energy, because he was not well aquainted with the city and it's streets. During one of their nights of rest Tian Zhou got into an argument with one of the other members, getting very frustrated Tian Zhou had given the man a blow to the head. The others remained silent, but after wards a bit of animosity toward Tian Zhou began to plague the ten. It was no problem, for finally they made it to their destination. They rented two rooms in a local inn and rested. They formulated a plan. The ten members would go in in groups of two. The five groups would enter in different areas, all heading for possible areas their target might reside. Tian Zhou would enter elsewhere, alone. With this plan in mind they had no doubt it would be easy to accomplish their mission.

Tian Zhou thought otherwise. The emperor would not send a group of ten with him if the task was easy. No, the mission would be very very difficult. Probably one of the most difficult in his whole life. After much thought Tian Zhou decided to retire for the night. The realm of dreams swept Tian Zhou, unpleasant dreams.

The morning sun came and the group was already on the move. Keeping themselves hidden the groups spread into their five groups. Each went to their destination and after a couple of minutes passed the plan went into action. Tian Zhou moved quickly, he avoided the guards and broke in silently. Hopefully the others would do the same, but he doubted it. What Tian Zhou never revealed was that he could find his way to Xia De, quite easily, but he wanted the guards taken care of, that was the realy mission he sent the ten on, even though they did not know it.

Moving silently through the castle Tian Zhou was able to take down two guards easily, hiding their bodies he would continue on, if the bodies were found then Tian Zhou would hope that they would not find him, but would find the ten others. Tian Zhou was very careful, he had not let any blood drip, this would make it less likely he would be found out and it would not give a trail to follow. Having throwing knives tucked away and in easy reach Tian Zhou was ready for any long range assassination. Two long daggers, that could even be classified as short swords were strapped on his waist. They were his deadly weapons, with which he could assassinate anyone, even the emperor himself. Small explosives were ready for use, just in case. Smoke bombs also at his waist provided him the method of cover in case something were to go awry.

Tian Zhou went on with his mission, with great swiftness.

-----

The capital was different. Kuan Yin had always lived in a small quiet village. Now she was in such a vast city, that it almost choked her. She knew the way to the rebels, but was she ready to meet with them? They reside in such a large city, right in the center of the empire, one would assume they were strong. Walking to the local tavern, "Dragon's Nest" Kuan Yin walked and asked for a small drink, the "Green Leaf" as it was known in the land. After recieving it she asked if there were rooms she could stay in. After asking for the room "1C" the tavern keeper eyed her suspiciously. She had then began tapping the table she sat at, a certain beat was created and the tavern keeper asked to speak with her.

"Who are you?" The tavern keeper asked, his voice softer than before.

"I am one who seeks the underground rat," she said, her master had told her the underground rat was the word for the entrance to the underground organization that went against the empire, the rebels. The tavern keeper got what she said and led her to the back room.

"The rebellion is through here," he said pointing towards another door.

"Are you not afraid that someone could be spying in this room?" She said a bit of concern in her voice, it seemed too easy to spy on the two.

"No, we have magicians that have placed certain spells, it will alert us of those who entered. The spell told that I have entered, so the others know that you are with us and they will meet you in there. Now be quick," after saying this the man left her, entering the tavern once more.

Kuan Yin did as he said and entered the doorway, it took her to a spiraled staircase that led very far down. She began going down, things seemed somewhat scary to her, but she knew she was safe now. The empire could not find her there, and if it did, then the whole of the land was doomed to the empire's reign. She had walked a long time before she finally noticed that on the walls was the picture of a golden dragon, it extended all the way, then she noticed the head of the dragon, and it was then she noticed another doorway. Opening it she walked in, a light went into her eyes, blinding her for a short while. Eyes adjusting to the light she beheld a man in front of her.

"Hello," he said, a smile on his face. "I need your name, and business with us."

"I am Kuan Yin, apprentice to master Yi Dao," as she mentioned him tears began forming in her eyes. Her master had been a fatherly figure for much of her life, she really did not know her parents. "I have come to talk about employment as a magician among the ranks of the rebellion."

"Ah Yi Dao, we have heard of his fate, most troubling news. He was a great help to us, although his training you took precedence. Come with me then, I will take you to our leader and he will help you with your questions and employment, another magician will prove fruitful for our cause." He led her to a room, entering she saw many men, but one man stood out, he was in the middle discussing matters with two men sitting with him, while others were discussing other matters. The man wore simple robes, but he had battle scars, very young she did not suspect him to be the leader until they were introduced. She was shocked.

"I have come for employment to battle the empire." Her eyes held flames of determination, she sat in front of him, everyone was now silent watching her, not many magicians were out there and for one to join their ranks interested them all.

"Hmm...yes I suppose I cannot say no to you, you have much cause to going into war with those bastards. A magician is a great addition, and one that was trained under Yi Dao, an accomplished magician in his own right. He did much, not as much as we hoped, but some have said he could have been the strongest magician ever in history. Personally I did not know him much, I heard rumors of his ability though and have concluded you will do well. I want you to go here," taking out a map of the rebel complex he pointed to a group of buildings. "This is where all our magicians reside, in this complex we hold around seven magicians, you are the eighth. We have others in other parts of the land, but not many. Magicians are difficult to come by. You have added much to our cause. Now please go rest, there is much to do."

She did as he said and went to the area indicated. It was a short trek and she found herself scared to open the door to where she would be living, possibly for years, or months, maybe weeks, or a day. She was not sure how time moved anymore, her hand twisting the knob, the door opened and there sat men and woman alike, some old some young. They twisted their heads and saw her, they smiled. "Another has joined our ranks," said an elderly woman.

"Hello, I am Kuan Yin, apprentice to Yi Dao." Shocked expressions covered their faces.

"The Yi Dao?" The elderly woman said, still in shock she sat down, looking at her, "You are the apprentice he took? Well it seems we have more hope now. But where is Yi Dao?"

"The empire destroyed him. I am what is left of him, I will have vengence and help to topple that monster who calls himself emperor." She let herself calm for a moment. "Do I have a place to sleep?"

The elderly woman pointed at the bunk above her, "You will be sleeping in this bunk above me. Let me show you where to put your belongings, from now to whenever you leave." She showed Kuan Yin everything that was to be seen, the storage area she would keep her belongings. She would not live a lavish life, but she was going to live with others that shared her powers. After all this the elderly woman turned and faced her, "One word of warning, magicians are still not well liked, even though the superiors know of what we can do and the aid we can bring. The ordinary foot soldiers dislike us and it would not be wise to anger them. They are short tempered at times. Be careful." With that the elderly woman went to the others, they were discussing spells of fire and their uses.

Kuan Yin sat at a table nearby, alone, away from the rest. She had much to think about.

-----

The silent night, nothing for Qiao Xia to do, her mission to protect Xia De. After letting herself fall into slumber the morning sun awoke her. She heard footsteps outside her door, running at a rapid rate. The door was pulled open swiftly and one of the guards looked at her, "Get yourself ready for a fight, we found two guards dead, hidden away." The man didn't allow her to ask any questions, he just ran away most likely waking more guards. Qiao Xia got herself adorned in her battle gear. The outfit covered almost all her body, excluding her head. She picked up her sword, a long curved blade, made sure it was ready for battle and ran outside.

She was much faster than anyone would expect, if there was an assassin they would have a tough time getting past her. Making it to the front of the room that held Xia De, Qiao Xia held her weapon at the ready. Then she heard a battle in another part of the castle, then nothing. From what she heard it could not have been one man who fought, but multiple. She prepared herself for multiple confrontations, or possibly a single one with many opponents. Staying calm she thought about what she would do, and thought of each weapon she might face.

Then flying daggers flew at her from her side, with one quick motion she dodged the two of them. She looked in the direction and saw two men wearing black, faces covered behind masks, small blades being taken out. She watched them and did not move, they obviously did not wish to wait and ran towards her. With a quick motion she put her leg forward, the unexpected move forced one of the assassins to trip and the other to stop and assess the situation, but it was too late. Qiao Xia moved with an unheard of grace, cutting through the standing assassin, while moving the blade downward to stab the man who had fallen, both died instantly.

Qiao Xia looked at the slain assassins, weaklings. They obviously underestimated her, and she knew if there were more that she would know that they would not underestimate her, especially with their comrades dead. Before she could examine the bodies more dangs flew at her, one knife barely cut her left arm, nothing serious. She was able to block the other blade easily. Turning and looking at her enemies she saw two of them, but hearing footsteps she looked in her peripheral vision to see two more assassins, that would be six that had broken into the castle. The situation was not good.

She grabbed one of the blades of the assassins and threw it at one of the assassins, it was easy to dodge, but with a wide slash Qiao Xia took out two of the assassins, only two to focus on now. Grabbing throwing knives from the dead she threw them at the other assassins, the attack was blocked easily. Qiao Xia went into a defensive position, watching the two assassins. The watched her, moving cautiously at her. They knew when it came to space they would not move as well, but that Qiao Xia had less room to swing her blade. She had an attack that was not easy to execute, but if it worked it would take out one assassin, and hopefully demoralize the other. Kicking the knife of one the dead up, she kick it with her other leg, the blade moved and unable to respond fast enough it caught one assassin in the leg. Qiao Xia was about to finish him off when a blade struck the back of her leg.

Turning she saw a four more assassins, that was ten who infiltrated the palace. A pincer attack, it would be very difficult to battle in the conditions. Qiao Xia resolved to take out the two in front before attempting to battle those in back. The only advantage she saw was that they wouldn't throw their knives in the dangerous case that it would hit one of their allies. Pushing off with her leg she easily stabbed one of the assassins, defenseless from the other she let go of her blade, moving back, the other assassin missed stabbing her, this would be his undoing. She grabbed his arm with one hand, while the other slammed against his side, he almost fell, but she grabbed his knife and stabbed him through the neck. The four behind her were running toward her, one in the front, two behind him with the last behind the two.

Qiao Xia through the dead assassin she held at the group of assassins, it was ineffective but temporarily slowed them down while she grabbed the knife of the other and tossed it. It hit the shoulder of the lead assassin. She pulled her sword out and charged, stabbing through the lead and then through one behind the lead. Her hand let go of the sword and blocked a knife with her hand, the pain was unbearable, but with a quick motion she pulled he blade out, blocking the other assassin and with her other hand letting go of the knife and punching the assassin the the throat. Knowing he was at least unconscious she focused her attention on the last assassin. Her sword held back his uncommonly long knife, she had the upper hand, she let the knife slide toward her face, the unexpected shift got the assassin off guard as she went low sliding and kicking him between his legs. The man was finished, she gave him the final blow. The battle was over, or so she thought. Examining the bodies she concluded all ten were dead.

She breathed in and then out calming herself. Her senses forced her to turn around and look at another assassin.

The capital bustled, the beggars on the streets asking for money. The local merchants attempting to get more money by selling their goods, some of which were unfairly priced and cheated their customers. It was usual business in the capital. Bei Nu had one destination, he would head to the royal palace, the largest building in the entire capital. It cast a shadow that swallowed half the city, the walls guarding it were impenetrable. It was probably the safest place in the entire land, yet it was also a dangerous place, especially for politicians. Bei Nu was returning from his meeting with Xia De, having convinved the man that rebellion would not be tolerated. Although Xia De did not show himself to be a rebel Bei Nu thought otherwise, as did the emperor, hence the mission.

Bei Nu focused on his destination, ignoring the many civilians who disliked him. Politicians and those involved with the emperor were commonly disliked by the masses. Bei Nu came to the gates that led into the Royal Palace Court Yard, that was in front of the Hall of Audiences where the Emperor performed his meetings. A grand hall it was, elsewhere in the palace was usually not seen by outsiders. Only those who worked as slaves in the palace or those in the inner circle of the emperor were allowed in the palace. Bei Nu himself was allowed into most of the palace and took advantage of it, often sleeping as a guest inside one of the many grand rooms.

The gates opened quickly, no man could be seen, but many were watching, archers held their bows ready to strike down an unwanted guest. Bei Nu advanced into the Court Yard and the gates shut behind him. Two guards stood at the doorway to the Hall of Audience. One stayed still eyes wandering around watching for unwanted visitors and the other walked toward Bei Nu. He was average looking, his sword belted at his waist, no helmet on his head. He put out his hand, "Do you have the imperial markings? Or an imperial pass?"

Bei Nu pulled a sleeve of his robes up, it revealed the imperial markings. The guard immediately knew Bei Nu was of high power and immediately turned back to his station. His hand hit the doorway twice, and the massive doors opened slowly. Bei Nu proceded into the Hall, his eyes adjusted for the darker settings. He turned and noticed the massive pillars at the side, and looked forward seeing the emperor in his massive thrown. The light of the sun came in through a small point in the wall, shining right into a giant crystal the spread the rays throughout the rooms. Bei Nu stood before the emperor, he looked at the emperor and then bowed, his head looking toward the ground. "My lord, I have returned."

The booming voice of the emperor came force quickly, "And I hope that your mission was a success."

"Yes my lord, I have done as you asked. Xia De will not bother with rebellion. I have gone to other lords that usually followed his example and also got them to give up any try at rebellion. Things should be stable in the area." Bei Nu hoped that the synopsis of his mission would be good enough for the emperor. A bead of sweat forming upon his head.

"I see, good then. I will hear your more detailed report later." Bei Nu felt relieved but the emperor continued, "I have other matters to discuss. As you know there are rebel groups forming, some joining together creating more powerful groups. My advisors have informed me that there is a large group in this very capital, and by tracking it have found that Xia De is funding it. I cannot let this go by! Rebellion stirs and the people believe me to be the greatest evil of the land." The emperor waved his hand and his advisers came out. There were twelve of them, each wearing lavish robes. They all bowed, then stood up and looked at Bei Nu, all respected him for his political skill. "Even if you convinced Xia De to quit his rebellious activities I doubt that he will stop funding the rebels, especially when some of theirs are in his castle. I am no fool, he may think I am, but he is gravely mistaken."

"What would you have me do?" Bei Nu stood up, looking at the advisors then at the emperor.

"Your task is done for now, you may rest for today and report back to me in the morning." The emperor waved his hand for Bei Nu to leave. Not being a fool Bei Nu walked out of the chamber. Something felt wrong and he decided to go to his own estate to retire for the night. His eyes adjusted to the light outside and he became the short trek to the estate. His estate was much smaller than that of the Royal Palace, but it served it's function. Bei Nu retired for the evening.

Dawn quickly approached and Bei Nu returned to the Hall as instructed, he faced the emperor again. "My lord I have returned as requested. Is there a mission you would have me do?"

Even in the early morning the emperor had a booming voice, "I will have you look into the inner politics. I believe that some amond me are aiding the rebels and will have you find the traitors so that I can bring them to justice." After that statement Bei Nu realized that none of his advisers were present.

"I will do as you ask, once I find any traitors I will report them to you. Is there anything else?" Bei Nu hoped not, he had affairs of his own to attend to.

"That will be all, leave me." Bei Nu left and began his task at bringing out the rebels.

The capital streets, full of scum. The capital had truly become a place of filth and corruption, Shao Li disliked it very much. The Royal Palace was large, too large. Such a grand building for one man to reside, pitiful. Shao Li did not have his weapon, but he walked into the Court Yard anyway. A guard approached him asking for either an imperial marking or an imperial pass. Shao Li had neither. The guard put a hand to his blade, Shao Li standing their looking, it was an average guard, an easy win.

"I will have to tell you to leave immediately, if not then I will use force to exterminate you." The guard pulled some of his blade out, he was within arms reach of Shao Li, giving Shao Li the advantage.

"Let me speak to the warlord immediately." Shao Li gave it as an order. This did not please the guard. Reaching for his blade the guard prepared to attack Shao Li, but was much too slow. Shao Li's arm move fast, his hand jabbing into the guard's neck. It was an instant kill, the other guard quickly reacted, his blade out already. Shao Li grabbed to dead guards blade, then held the dead guard holding it to his back and a flurry of arrows stabbed into the dead man. Shao Li had a wicked smile about him, he walked toward the other guard, more arrows flying toward him, only to hit the dead. When close enough Shao Li let go of his shield, it fell to the ground while blood spurted out of the penetration points. Shao Li ran toward the other guard, his blade moved quickly blocked a strike to his right, using a feint to the left the guard was caught off guard, Shao Li's blade stabbing into the man's chest. It was an easy win.

Shao Li did not attempt to walk into the front doorway of the Hall of Audience. He did not seek the emperor, only the warlord. Shao Li knew about the area and moved quickly. Running along the side of the palace he came to a door, it was locked. Shao Li kicked it down and ran inside. He ended up in a hallway that had three seperate paths, Shao Li knew his way. He went down the right most path, running at full stride he ended up in a large hall. Many doors were on both side of the wall, moving quickly Shao Li found the door he was looking for. Opening it he saw the man he looked for, the warlord.

"Welcome Shao Li, I knew you would end up in my office one day." The warlord was calm, he held no weapon, knowing full well Shao Li's skills. The warlord did not look at Shao Li, his gaze was ona document, probably something trivial, so Shao Li felt it as somewhat of an insult.

"You knew I would come, nothing escapes you." Shao Li moved closer, his blade no longer in a ready battle position. "So do you know why I have come?"

"Of course, you came in order to involve yourself in the current state of affairs, I wouldn't blame you." The warlord's eyes left the document gazing at Shao Li. "I can help you become involved. It is simple, nothing too difficult for me, but I do know you would rather use a blade instead of your political skills." The warlord sighed and then grabbed his sword. It was beauty in a blade, the hilt having a gold dragon to show the great status in which the warlord held. "That is not your blade you are holding. Last I heard your blade was very well made, on par with this one."

"I am having it looked at, just in case." Shao Li held the blade he took from the guard, looking at it, it was weak. It could be broken if he fought with the warlord. "So will you help me?"

"Of course. You can be in our wonderful military. Rebels are popping up and I need a good warrior in our ranks. You will lead nobody, and nobody will lead you. I will place you as a personal fighter, you will do as I say, accomplishing those missions which I give you. Is this fine?"

"Yes it is." Shao Li smiled as he thought of those underground warriors in which he would fight. Rebels would be easy to defeat, but their leaders would be strong warriors, or intelligent strategists. "Where shall I reside?"

"I will get to the paperwork. I will have you go to my personal estate. This will be easier than letting you stay in the barracks or waiting for the emperor to place you in a residence." The warlord took at a map and pointed to his estate. Taking out a small piece of paper he placed his own personal seal and a note to inform the guards to let Shao Li in. "Now go, I have much to do."

Shao Li walked out, he left the blade he took on the ground. Leaving was easy enough, the guards wanted to attack him, but using the warlord's seal prevented them from doing so. The trek to his estate was short, similar estates were scattered around the capital, all of them with too much for a few individuals. Shao Li used to live that life, but since his family became enemies and were forced out of the land he hated those who had such lifestyles, if he did not deserve the lifestyle nobody else did.

Walking into the estate and having the guards give him a room Shao Li immediately began to meditate. Hours passed, he was calm. After five hours of meditation he decided to go and see if he could have his blade back. Leaving the estate Shao Li headed for the blacksmith, it was getting dark out and Shao Li moved quickly. Walking in he looked around, the same weapons were up as before. "I am back."

The large figure came out holding Shao Li's blade. "It is in perfect condition. Truly a beautiful weapon. I don't even want to give it back to you," a chuckle came out of the man. He handed the weapon over. "Will you be going back to your friend here in the city?"

"No I have aquired residence elsewhere. I will take my leave, expect me back if a battle occurs." Shao Li walked out and returned to retire for the night.

The object was floating in the air. A small jar, if it fell it would break, but it stood in the air. The power coursed through her veins, going to the object keeping it in the air. Kuan Yin kept the power solid, no breaks in it. It was beginning to tire her, but her master insisted on holding the jar up for fifteen hours. She held it up for ten already, she would finish it even if she fainted. She was considered very beautiful, her hair tied in a ponytail, her eyes mesmerizing. Many men tried to take her hand in marriage, but she refused them.

The room was empty aside from her and the jar, one door gave access to the room, only one. The door opened and in came an old man. He held a staff to hold him up for his weak body could no longer sustain him. The man was going to die soon, he knew it, but he also wanted to help Kuan Yin complete her training. Kuan Yin had a gift for magic, one which could be very great if not for the hatred towards magicians, secret training was far from the greatest training. Her concentration was brilliant, but possibly dangerous. He began to use his magic and reach to attack her mind, it was easy enough since she just concentrated on the jar.

The jar fell to the floor, Kuan Yin turned to her master, she was breathing heavily. "Why did you do that master?" She said her melodic voice floating through the air.

"I did it to demonstrate a point. You focus well, but you did not guard your mind. Magicians are very scarce, but if you should come in contact with one it will be easy to subdue you if you do not know they reside in the other's army. Do you get it?" His voice was still powerful even though he was really old. It amazed Kuan Yin how much her master taught her. She knew as well as he that his time was limited.

"I understand master. But what is the use of using magic if all hate those who use it?" SHe always contemplated this question, but did not ask it till now.

"The day is coming where the chaos will force magic weilders out, I want you to be ready, so that we can show that magicians are normal humans that can benefit others. From healing to destroying, we have unlimited possibilities." He coughed, his throat was dry. He focused his magic and water came out of a nearby spring and floated to him, it poured itself slowly into his mouth. "I hope one day we won't be viewed as monsters."

"I will train hard then." With that she decided to head into town and get something to eat. She found a fine establishment, it selled some great food and tea. Taking it to go in a small wooden box Kuan Yin began her journey home, when she noticed smoke rising in the direction of her home. There were other homes, but she knew that it was hers and nobody elses. She dashed, hiding from anyone that might see her. Her speed matched that of any eagle in the sky. Arriving home she found it in flames.

Soldiers stood outside her home, one looked especially dangerous. He bore a helmet of black that shared attributes with the rest of his armor. The man barked orders to his men, "There were obviously two living here, find the other. Damn magicians. Old man put up quite the fight, so be careful of whoever else might be out there." With that the men began going to town, many running around in the general area. Some were coming towards her, she made a run for it. It was obvious that they had seen her, yelling coming from behind and more footsteps moving toward her. She turned around and said a spell, roots from nearby trees came to life slowing the troops down. She escaped easily, but now she was to be hunted. She dare not go into town for there were soldiers there. With almost no supplies Kuan Yin wondered what she would do.

She didn't think about it, those were imperial soldiers and she knew that there was rebel groups throughout the land. Her master had given her information on one of those groups, it would be simple enough to hide with them. She made a run for it in the general direction, it was the biggest group of rebels. She headed to the capital, where the base was well hidden. hopefully she would find someone to help her, and hopefully they would accept her.

-----

Qiao Xia, a beauty of her time. Most renouned for her beauty in fact. Although she was beautiful she was also deadly. She kept a weapon that is well hidden, tied in her hair. While her sword was always close at hand. Never on her, but close by. She was adept at fighting hand to hand, she was especially needed today when a Bei Nu met with her lord regarding imperial matters. The empire was becoming more evil everyday, the emperor lived past a normal life span, which made some think he had spellcasters. Personally Qiao Xia did not care, her mission was to protect her lord, which in turn would protect her family.

What truly made her deadly was not her skill with a blade, but her skill in seduction. She brought men into her arms and killed them, silently. She was never found to be a killer, and her position behind the lord made her more deadly. She was not known as the bodyguard but ass the lady of the castle. She attended all meetings, making her politically active. She knew how to speak in front of others now. The ideal warrior, the ideal woman, the ideal politician, a force to be reckoned with.

She was in her quarters, watching the door. She had finished her training and her usual duties today. She was to now relax and spend her time doing what she wanted. Qiao Xia sat thinking about the current situation in the land, the imperial forces forcing many to die, while hunting down spellcasters. She suspected the emperor feared the magicians in the land, and therefore wanted them all destroyed. Qiao Xia was involved with many forces, those not even her lord knew of. She was part of the rebel forces that would topple the empire, hopefully. Becoming more diplomatic she had grown a sense of the world around her, if she could keep her family safe she would do anything, she would destroy the empire if she had to. The truth is one of her own is a magician, and therefore is being hunted. Qiao Xia feared for her sibling, and did her best to hide him.

The reports she recieved tell of more burnings and more dead magicians popping up. The empire was swiftly moving. Never before in history had such a genocide taken place. The rebel groups were even joining together to fight back harder. Alliances were forming, and word of lords seperating from the empire made the people uneasy. War was going to begin. But who would strike first?

Bei Nu came on behalf of the empire, he was a threat, his political skills were renouned, and it was due to him that five lords declared themselves traitor before the emperor himself. The lives of those lords were spared, but they lost their title and loyalists replaced them as heads of their city. Bei Nu knew this would happen and continued working wonders for the empire. But he was an odd man, nobody knew his real motives.

The thoughts of the rebels passed through Qiao Xia's mind, everything. She let it all out and began to breathe in and out slowly, calming herself. She lay down and drifted into sleep. Her time has yet to come.

The sun in the sky, sweat dripping off his fingers. Sword swinging and cutting off the head of a man. The body falls limply. Shao Li watches the dead man, daring to challenge him. Shao Li looks at the head of the man, spitting at the ground next to it. Reaching up to his head he undoes his hair, letting it fall at shoulder length. Looking around at his surroundings Shao Li saw nothing but the petty village, good for nothing peasants. Shao Li was born into a family of wealth, learning the art of the blade and excelling at it. Many had hunted for his head, none being successful, Shao Li came from a wealthy family, but also a family that went against the Empire. Many bounty hunters came after his bounty, hoping to gain fame along with money. Shao Li was dangerous, but not invincible, he had fought many strong opponents and hid due to injury. He had a lot of money so he could roam easily. Support came from outside the country, foreign parts considered barbarians.

Shao Li walked to the nearest shop, nothing of value lay inside. Buying some quick supplies Shao Li left the village upon his steed, a majestic animal who had been Shao Li's only trusted friend in the chaotic lands. Shao Li felt something different of late, less and less bounty hunters coming for his head. Was it because they knew he was too dangerous? No, the bounty was too high for anyone to truly dismiss it, no the chaos brewing in the capital seemed more like the case. The world was becoming different, but Shao Li did not mind, he relished the chaos, for it would bring war, and the best warriors would come out and do battle, then Shao Li would have more worthy challenges.

Riding through the forest of bamboo Shao Li was ever vigilant, it seemed that in order to make the perfect name he would have to be more political, possibly entering the politics in the Capital. Shao Li did not like the politics in the capital it made him bored, very bored. He prefered taking things on with his blade in hand. Shao Li set up camp, almost to his destination. The night was boring, filled with nothing but training, Shao Li always keeping his skills sharp, training in the night. After hours of training Shao Li retired for the night.

The morning came swiftly, Shao Li woke up and quickly set out for the capital. The rest of the trip was uneventful, aside from the murder of a beggar. Shao Li arrived at the capital, immediatly moving for the blacksmith that made his blade, the man was excellent and would make sure the blade was still in prestine condition. Arriving there Shao Li walked into the shop, noticing all the excellent blades the shop always maintained. One took Shao Li's eye, walking over and observing the blade, the edge sharp, it was a long weapon, one Shao Li was unaccustomed to and might get him killed. The blade was still beautiful and one Shao Li wanted, but did not even think to purchase.

The blacksmith walked in from the back and saw Shao Li. He was a big, rough looking man. He bore scars on his arms, from what Shao Li believed came from battles, and was dirty from the days work. "Shao Li.... I haven't seen you in what seems like ages, what brings you in?"

"I wanted to make sure my blade hasn't weakened, I don't want to battle then have the blade break." Shao Li pulled out his blade, the fine steel had some blood from the latest murder. Putting it down gently on the table in front of him Shao Li watched, hating to let it go for even a second. Pulling out money he dropped the gold coins next to the sword. "I hope this is enough for you to make one of your fast check-ups."

"Aye it is. Still have money as usual, you are from noble birth I suppose." The blacksmith picked up the blade, holding it in his hands he looked at Shao Li, "A wonderful blade, my best creation yet. I will move as quickly as possible, but without a blade you are more vulnerable to great swordsman. May I interest you in another fine blade for times like these when your prefered blade is not with you?"

"Always looking to sell I see. No I am not interested, just like last time. I can take care of myself." He left the shop and went to a friends home nearby. Walking in without notice the man jumped up.

"Shao Li, what are you doing here? Don't walk in like that, it startled me." The man was skiny, he looked like that of a skeleton, his gaze wandered around. "I suppose you are here for lodging?"

"Yes I am," Shao Li bowed after he said this and proceeded to his normal quarters. "I will do my best not to disturb you."

The man had servents set up Shao Li's room and assigned one to get Shao Li food when needed.

-----

The confining room gave absolutely no light. The dungeon was one for the most dangerous criminals. The dripping water was the only thing heard, most other sounds were little animals running around feasting on those who had died. Only a few live, in the end all of them dying. Tian Zhou saw nothing but blackness, he was thrown in the dungeons because he murdered an official. An assassin he does nothing more than assassinate, his one on one combat was not great, so he relied on stealth to win the day. He knew death would come, he already shook when he tried to move. He felt himself starving, no energy left.

The door to the dungeon opened, feeding in the light from the outside world. The prisoners closed their eyes to hide from the piercing rays of the light, hurting their eyes which were so used to the darkness. Tian Zhou closed his eyes, then squinted becoming more accustomed to the light. A shadowy figure walked toward him. The figure put a dish of food. The aroma made Tian Zhou drool abit, his hunger forced him to eat the food, he ate it all quickly. The man picked him up after he finished and opened his cell. They both left the dungeon, the other criminals desperately crying for their own release, only to be locked in shadows once more. The weak figure of Tian Zhou was given better clothing, and he was forced to bathe. He looked like a noble after all was done, except for his starved body. "Why are you doing this?"

The man who had taken him there, young and handsome, spoke with a soft voice, "It seems the emperor has interests in your skills of assassination. He wants to speak with you and hopefully employ you into the imperial army."

A shocked expression took hold of Tain Zhou's face, "Me? I don't believe..." he did not finish his statement, he was out of the dungeon and would work himself to death in order to stay out of there. Tian Zhou was taken to a large room, full of scrolls, a map of the land lay on a table with a man looking at it.

The man looked up, a face of a general, "So you have brought him, I will decide if he is to be employed. I am Warlord Fai Zhe Xiao." The questions came immediately. Question after question, where he learned, why he chose assassination as his profession. It would never end. After hours of discussion the Warlord still held a stoic expression. His eyes narrowed, "That will be all."

Tian Zhou was taken to a room, very basic, but still better than the dungeon he had dwelled in for what seemed like years, yet it was only two weeks. Tian Zhou fell into slumber quickly, dreams of a better life out of the dungeon took his mind.

The morning swiftly came, Tian Zhou wanted to sleep more, but the same man who had taken him out of the dungeon forced him up. "The Emperor will see you now." Tian Zhou was led to the emperor.

The large room was clear of anything aside from the pillars that stood at the side and the throne, large and one top of steps. Anything that could cause harm was taken from Tian Zhou, the emperor being a man who knows of the chaos. The emperor's face was hidden from anyone's view, yet he gave off an aura. Tian Zhou could not put his finger on it though, was it evil? Or was it just Tian Zhou's fear of what the emperor could have done to him? Either way he was before the most powerful man in the lands. "Welcome." The emperor spoke with a powerful voice. Tian Zhou definitely feared this man. "Do not speak, just listen. I have decided to place you in the imperial forces, you will assassinate those I tell you to. You can choose to decline my offer, but you will be taken back to that dungeon and given only enough food to live."

Tian Zhou could not bare going back and accepted the offer of the Emperor, "I accept." The Emperor dismissed him as quickly as he was brought. An assignment was already given to him.

Sitting in a chair Bei Nu searched his surroundings, watching as the attendants brought him tea. A man came in holding a tray, three cups of tea sat on it, one for Bei Nu, and the two others for the men that have yet to walk in, Bei Nu knew them not. A two handed sword lay next to Bei Nu, a long blade crafted from the best blacksmiths. Bei Nu shifted nervously where he sat. He was to meet with very important men from one of the lords serving the emperor. Things were very unstable in the lands recently and failing in this mission could start a war. Watching the attendant place the tray down he offered one cup to Bei Nu. Taking the cup he took a sip and set it down gently on the table that lay before them. The waterfall behind him seemed very relaxing, but it was still not enough to calm his nerves.

Surrounded by nothing but walls and two doors Bei Nu stared straight in front of him. The door slid open as a young woman and an elderly man walked him. Bei Nu stood up, he bowed to both of them, and they bowed in return. All of them sat down and commenced with talking about unimportant chatter about the affairs of the emperor. After much was said and done Bei Nu went down to business, "Lord Xia De, you know why I have come here, yes?"

Xia De was the elderly man, he pulled softly on his beard, "I know why you have come, things are not secure as of late. Things are not safe in the lands I have been told to govern, bandits are beginning to come into my lands and pillaging them. I have heard similar news from my neighbors. Word is spreading that a war may yet take place."

"That is why I am here of course, to help prevent such darkness from spreading over this land. The land need not war, the last one ravaged the world endangering almost all who lived in this land." Bei Nu read about the last war, it was said to have killed millions, possibly hundreds of millions, but of course Bei Nu dismissed such great numbers as an exaggeration. Still it was a dark war that not many wished to speak about. Most believed the heavens would not let such a war take place ever again, but Bei Nu was skeptical. "Strange rumors of magic being used has come to my ear Lord Xia De, do you know much of this?"

"I do not, unfortunately. Magic is something beyond me, not many know how to use it and those who do are hated by the masses. For one to know magic means they are of great power and knowledge. I don't think I have such men at my disposal, either way magic users are very secretive and will not show themselves willingly." The man seemed disturbed, his eyes left Bei Nu's and focused on the wall.

Bei Nu knew of the threats to Xia De, but he didn't think anyone would be so foolish as to actually attempt to kill him in his own castle. Bei Nu also took note of the young lady, she had said almost nothing the entire time. Her eyes focused on Bei Nu the entire time. She wore a dress, flowers decorated on them, but Bei Nu took note of her hair pin. It was a well disguised weapon that if thrown properly could take out any warrior. Bei Nu suspected the woman to be a female bodyguard, a very great ploy, especially when woman were not ones to be bodyguards, or warriors for that matter. Times were changing. Bei Nu and Xia De began to discuss more politics, eventually concluding their business Bei Nu stood as did Xia De. The two bowed to each other and parted ways. Xia De had left the room quickly, Bei Nu left the castle noting the very many guards.

Bei Nu left for the capital.

9/11

Today is one of the, if not most, emotional days of my life. It is 9/11, 7 years ago today my country america was attacked by monsters, the true face of evil. I have never hated others for their beliefs, but I hate them, those monsters. They took lives over nothing, they want to kill my way of life because I won't conform to theirs. They want me and my family and all america, just because we aren't Muslim. I hate them.

I never hated others, but I just can't stand it. They attacked my homeland. I wanna kill Osama, I want him dead.

7 years ago today my mother was scheduled to fly home, and I think what if my mothers plane was chosen for hijacking? I cry every time I think about it. It makes me wonder how those who lost someone feel on this day. I don't know how I would be able to react. I can't stand it.

I pray for those who lost loved ones. Who lost family that were innocent, who lost friends, who lost husbands and wives. They didn't deserve death, they didn't deserve fire and metal destroying them. They were innocent lives taken by monsters.

I think about those heroes that took out the hijackers who were going to hit the Capitol building, they were heroes, they knew they were going to die, and sacrificed their lives to save even more. There is also the hero who made the evacuation plans for the Towers. He saved many lives with his plan, and even went back into the building to make sure everyone got out, he didn't make it out himself. He was a hero. Those who worked in the pentagon, who died for nothing, for serving their country. They were all heroes.

9/11 is a day embedded into my heart, I cry every year on this day. I can't help it, I just have to cry.

God Bless America.

I just realized something, only a week till the anniversary of 9/11. Ima be all depressed, but gotta get a nice outfit of Red, White, and Blue. Such a sad day, but it brings American's closer. Hmm.... but idk what I shall wear. So yeah I am gonna be depressed that day.

Other news, McCain, I support him, I thought his speech at the Republic Convention was great, he chose one heck of a V.P. as well, she took people by surprised and pounded the Democrats, I feel bad for Independants who aren't really looked at as enemies to both the parties. Oh well, I am for McCain and won't change that. I liked Obama's speech too, but not really effected my decision.

I hope that I am chosen for that poll worker's program, that be totally sweet! So if you american and can vote, go vote, and make informed vote!

Okay what else is new? Finally finished a program that was sooo hard, it was an easy solution, but the code is sometimes hard to make out, you have to really look and get someone else to help you look at it, one mistake ruins the whole program. So now we starting new stuff in the class. We just working photoshop in my Web Page Design class. All is good in school.

Other than that nothing really new, no good tennis lately, which annoys me....

Looks like I haven't done a journal in a while. Everyone loves to know what I am up to :P .

Anyway I started school a couple weeks ago, I am absolutely loving school, it is amazingly fun and I made some new friends, one is exchange student from indonesia. I learning a ton of new stuff, my favorites are government stuff and the computer classes I am taking, I can make a decent looking web page now, not to mention some basic programs. Yay for me!

I am doing all the scholarship stuff, so boring, but worth it. I am also trying to get in as a poll worker for the elections in november. That will be exciting and great on a resume, so wish me luck, only sixteen get selected out of all the county I am in, so it gonna be tough, good grades and first come first serve thing, so my excellent grades won't count for anything if I do not turn in forms before everyone else.

Let's see, I have been drawing more and more lately, I do not know why, just felt like drawing I guess. I am re-reading the Inheritence books, because the third book is coming out soon, and I want to refresh my memory.

Elections are coming up! So U.S. citizens go out and get informed, do not listen to the slogan, listen to how the candidates want to resolve the issues. Personally I was for Obama, now I am for McCain, this is because I don't like the views Obama has, my views are mine, so if you have different ones please share it with me. I love to listen to politics, and no McCain is not four more year of Bush. So anyway, please feel free to debate with me, I think debate is fun.
