Moon Child

Yes, yesterday I watched that movie. Actually I watched something like 3-4 movies in a row. But I'm gonna write about that particular one.
I heard from many people that it was terriffic movie but I never remembered to watch it when suddenly yesterday around 2am I reminded myself about it.
I must say comparing to other Japanese movies I've recently watched it was good. But it would be even better if not Hyde's bad acting skills. Just before "Moon Child" I watched "Last Quarter" (also starring Hyde) and he was as bad as his English. He just can't express emotions whether through mimic, body language or voice (despite the fact he is a singer). So maybe he just should only sing (but not in English) and look cute.
But let's say more about the plot. In 2014 Japan sufferes from economical collapse and people emigrate to China. In Mallepa city live Sho, his brother Shinji and friend Toshi. They are around 8-12 orphans living on the street. One day Sho finds Kei and take care of him. Kei saves boys life and from that moment they are always together.
K, I won't write more because
1. I'm too lazy
2. Why would I tell you all the story?
Japan's collapse motive was used in many other movies/books/animes as well as vampire motive but I never seen them together so when you watch it you don't have deja vu feeling.
What I didn't like was the fact that in year 2045 they were still dressing like people in year 2000. Apparently they forgot that fashion is changing EACH SEASON not even mention decades. And the last scene... I would do it differently but... well, wasn't bad.
Watch it there:

EDIT: I had to remove all the pictures because they don't show idk why 'cause I can see them perfectly in the preview. Any ideas?

I'm so bored and have no ****ing idea what to write about.
My dog princess Mika caught a rat today (although we now have 3 cats). I love her so much and she is so brave! I personally would die if I saw a rat.
Yesterday I bought a coat and I totally love it. It's very feminine, in the colour of my hair and doesn't make my ass look even bigger than it is.
Snow is still lying and I hate it. It's freakin' cold outside and I'm dreaming about warm countries like e.g. Indonesia Well any tropical Asian country would do.
Yesterday I watched the most riddiculous movie ever! It was called "Sleeping Bride". Based on manga story of a girl whose mother survived from a plane crash but eventually died giving birth to her. Girl was in coma till the age of 17 and there was this guy who was kissing her everyday telling her he was a prince and at last she woke up but only for a 5 days. In the 5th day he married her and stayed with her till the rest of her life. Yes, she died first. I'm telling you the ending 'cause I don't want you guys to watch that movie and waste your time. God! I don't know if I will ever give another chance to Japanese movies 'cause each time they disappoint me with their stupidity.

Thank you all for lovely wishes yesterday! It was so nice to read them
Oh well... so being 21 didn't change anything in my life
I went to another city today, I spend lots of money on coffee just because barista was cute, I bought pretty hat in which I look terriffic, and I went to my old college and everybody was staring at me (because I'm so pretty of course). I also got proposition of taking photo session but... I'm not sure if I really want to.
K, so I'm gonna watch another k-movie now (recently I got addicted to them).
Take care guys

I almost died today!

OK, maybe I wasn't that close to death but who knows... So this is what happened: I was straightening my hair and of course I was singing to my flat iron as if they were a microphone, and then suddenly I saw sparks coming out of it! First I thought: "Where the heck are these fireworks from??" but then I realized I was holding 230 volts in my hand! I was so scared I almost peed my pants
Today I made "dorayaki" - Japanese pancakes. They tasted good but were a bit too sweet to me, so next time I will add less sugar.
I'm hungry

All Saints' Day today
Posted 01 November, 2008 (1 month ago) | Views: 189 | View comments (1) | Add comment |
Today is All Saints' Day. Here where I live it's very important holiday. Well not for me as I'm atheist and therefore I'm not going to church or pray at the cemetary. But my street is the only way to the local graveyard and it was SO crowded today. Real human traffic.
Couple of days ago I went to the hairdresser. I printed out picture of hair I wanted to get. Hairdresser said: mhm, sure I can do it.
But when she finished I felt sick... My hair looked nothing like in the picture. It was too short and she put on it some kind of wax or gum and my hair looked like I wouldn't wash it for a month. After hairdresser I was supposed to go to the town shopping but I was so devastated that I came back home and cried half an hour in the bathroom. Fortunately when I washed and arranged my hair it wasn't that bad.
Tonight there's gonna be Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon aired on tv. I've already seen that movie but I'm going to watch it one more time because I love it. I also like other like Hero or House of Flying Daggers.

It's been long time since my last post.
During that time I went to Austria and I came back and then got sick and probably I will get sick one more time
Well nothing new happened in my life except maybe thet shock I received when I read latest Miyavi's journal... and ummm yeah I hate the weather here. It's soooo cold! I should be in warm Asia now. Seriously.
Today I'm gonna start watching Maou because of sweet Toma kun. They should make a drama with Miyavi. God that would be something
Oh and as you can see my English got ****ing bad.
That's all for today folks

Future plans

Yesterday I couldn't sleep and was thinking about my future, what to do and bla bla so on. Sooner or later I will have to go to college (and I really want to go to one) but I still don't know what I want to study. So yesterday that crazy idea came up to my mind. I thought I could apply to music conservatory (vocal) or some photography course. The reason for is that as a vocalist or photographer you can work all over the world and you don't even have to know the language (ok as a vocalist you do but they teach you ). I'd rather go to conservatory but I don't have any musical background, I can't even read the notes. But that's the easiest part And I think a bit of practice with piano would do. I don't have to be great singer when applying, right? It's their job to train me. Well I'm not gonna apply to any course before 2010/11 so still have time to think about it.
BUT I've already checked conservatoires in Poland and UK and... auditions in Poland seem to be more difficult. That really suck. But it's better to study in London, ne?
That college look the best to me

What do you guys think of it?

K, so today I was bored *as always* so I checked Kavki Boiz blog *as always* and then I thought: hmm why not try to register here? And so I did. It was hella diffcult though! Now I'm trying to figure out how to navigate it.
I must say ameba.jp is pretty much great site. Maybe I'll start with blog options:
1. You can choose between so many colors! Seriously: plenty.
2. There are those really かわいい icons with faces and other stuff.
3. You can draw your own icons or use already existing icons made by other members. You can also rate them.
4. They have emojis which are Japanese/Asian smileys. ( ̄▽ ̄)=3
5. You can upload picture too but I don't know how. Yet.
6. Tool called Magical Maker. It looks pretty cool too. You can make some drawings there too as well as pimpin' your pictures with some flashy stars http://www.magicalmaker.com/
7. There are also 2 icons which one has probably something to do with money and second with eating. Or something...
8. You can upload video.
9. URL.
It might sound like normal blog options but I have seen many blogs and that one is the best.
Ameba.jp has also it's own Youtube it is called AmebaVision http://vision.ameba.jp/index.do
ok, that's all for now folks

If you go further to video responses you can find more hilarious vids. One even by Andy Milonakis.
And remember Ken Tanaka loves you! Help to find him his parents John and Linda Smith!
And don't forget about his assistant Remi February. She is very handsome.

Warsaw Uprising!
Posted 01 August, 2008 (4 months ago) | Views: 700 | View comments (1) | Add comment |
Today (or rather yesterday since it's past midnight) was Warsaw Uprising Memorial Day.
"The Warsaw Uprising (Powstanie Warszawskie) was a World War II struggle by the Polish Home Army (Armia Krajowa) to liberate Warsaw from German occupation. The Uprising began on August 1, 1944, as part of a nationwide rebellion, Operation Tempest. It was intended to last for only a few days until the Soviet Army would reach the city. The Soviet advance stopped short, however, while Polish resistance against the German forces continued for 63 days (until October 2).
The Uprising began at a crucial juncture as the Soviet Army was approaching Warsaw. The Uprising's chief objective was to drive the German occupiers from the city, helping with the larger fight against the Axis. Secondary political objectives were to liberate Warsaw before the Red Army arrived, so as to underscore Polish sovereignty, and to undo the Allied division of Central Europe into spheres of influence. Polish authorities were to reappear in liberated Warsaw and challenge the Soviet puppet government that was to rule Poland.
By September 16, 1944, Soviet forces had reached a point a few hundred metres from the city, across the Vistula River, but they made no further headway during the Uprising leading to allegations that Stalin had wanted the insurrection to fail.
Polish losses amounted to 18,000 soldiers killed and 25,000 wounded, in addition to between 120,000 and 200,000 civilian deaths, mostly from mass murders conducted by retreating German troops. German casualties totalled over 17,000 soldiers killed and over 9,000 wounded. During the urban combat approximately 25% of Warsaw's buildings were destroyed. Following the surrender of Polish forces on October 2, German troops systematically burned the city block by block. Together with earlier damage suffered in 1939 and during the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising (1943), over 85% of the city had been destroyed. By January 1945, when the Soviets finally entered the city, Warsaw had practically ceased to exist."
Every year we can watch documentary films and listen to veterans memoires on tv. This is better than learning history even from the best book...
Here you can watch 2 short videos in English:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oBdgubhWfY&feature=related
Here is the video with pictures and beautiful song by Johnny Cash:

I would also recommend that one although I don't really like the title but on the other hand killing was what they were doing, wasn't it?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MH4zfPL5lY4&feature=related
In the days like today I wish I could live then. To fight and die for my country. Veterans say that those were the most beautiful days in their lives and later on they never felt such solidarity and such emotions like then (with the exception of strike in Gdansk shipyard in August 1980). But on the other hand...
