XD my friend, Jackie (Hi jackie!!! XD), wanted me to post these chapters since we haven't seen each other in a while. I will delete this later!rnChapter One: Our First ‘Date’rnrnI walked on the sidewalk in the rain, looking for my favorite restaurant. I spotted it up ahead and ran, trying to get out of the rain.rnrnI opened the small restaurant door quietly as I walked in. I looked around to see who else was eating here. I only saw three other people. Two of them were sitting in the left of where I was standing in a booth. Then I looked over to where the other one was. I felt my eyes widen. rnrnThe boy whom I was staring at was the most beautiful person I had ever seen. I couldn’t help but blush. I quickly looked away. I saw him smile in the corner of my eye.rnrnHello everyone. My name is Julian Hayes. Okay, despite my name I am a girl. I’m 17 years old and still attending High School. Today, school was getting me rather stressed so I decided to skip the rest of my classes for the day to just relax and drink some coffee at this little restaurant.rnrnThe waitress sat me in the booth in front of that boy. I quickly ordered my coffee and stared at the table. I felt like someone was staring at me intensely. I looked behind me to check and saw him staring. To make it less awkward, I smiled and looked away. I immediately felt my face redden. rnI can’t believe I looked! Oh god, is he still staring? I kept thinking about him, I got lost in thought for a moment.rnrn“Miss?” I jumped a little, startled. I looked to where I heard the voice. Thank god, it was just the waitress. I saw my cup of coffee in her hand.rnrn“Ah! O-oh, I’m sorry.” I smiled as she handed me my cup of coffee. She grinned back and walked away. I, nervously, grabbed two packets of Splenda and poured it in my coffee. I reached over to grab some cream but realized that there was none on my table.rnrn“Excuse me, miss?” I called out to the waitress. She didn’t notice me. I was about to get up from my table to ask her for cream but I felt a tap on my shoulder behind me. I turned around, surprised. The boy behind me had a little container of cream in his hand, offering it to me.rnrn“Here.” He handed it to me, smiling. I smiled slightly taking it from his strangely freezing hand. I looked up at him before turning around. He had strange red eyes, pale snow-white skin, and brown hair with black highlights. He was breathtaking. I thanked him then turned back around. I heard him get up and whisper to the waitress that was serving me. He handed her something and returned to his booth.rnrnAfter drinking my coffee, the waitress thanked me for coming. But I was slightly confused since I hadn’t paid my bill yet. So, when she was about to go talk to another customer I grabbed her attention.rnrn“Um, I’m sorry to bother you but, did you forget my bill?” out of the corner of my eye I, once again, saw him smile.rnrn“Oh,” she turned back around. “The young man behind you already took care of it.” She glanced towards him and I could tell she fell for his good looks as much as I had.rnrnI looked behind me, astonished. Was he interested in me? I couldn’t believe it. He smiled warmly towards me.rnrn“May I sit with you?” His voice was as breathtaking as his looks. I nodded, embarrassed. He got up from his seat and sat across from me. He never stopped smiling at me. “Skipping school, I see.” I giggled awkwardly. To have something to do if we had awkward silences, I ordered another cup of coffee. You see, that’s why I ordered another cup of coffee, I wasn’t thirsty at all.rnrn“How did you know?” I stared at the cup of coffee in my hands. I knew if I looked up at him I wouldn’t be able to stop myself from staring. rnrn“I think we might go to the same school.” He paused. “Why are you skipping?”rnrn“Why are you?” I asked quietly, still staring at my coffee. He chuckled.rnrn“Touché.”rnrnI finally looked up at him. “I’m Julian.” I held out my hand. He took it in his icy grasp and kissed it. I blushed furiously.rnrn“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Julian. My name is Hayden.”rnrnWe talked for, I would say, an hour or two before we left the restaurant. It was amazing! We instantly liked each other as soon as we started talking! I was quite embarrassed, though. It felt like I was on a date! Now, I felt that I was in love with him not his looks. We both said goodbye but before I walked away he grabbed my wrist.rnrn“Wait.” He spoke softly. I turned around and looked at him in the eye. “Can I…uhm...Have your telephone number?” It seemed quite awkward for him to ask me this. I nodded, embarrassed again and gave him my phone number.rnrn“Call me whenever you like.” I smiled, attempting to act cool. He smiled to himself and left. rnrnAs soon as he left I was giddy with excitement.rnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnOur First Date: Hayden’s Point of ViewrnrnI sat in a little booth quietly, bored. I loathed boredom to the fullest extent. I glanced over to the waitress that wouldn’t stop staring at me. Oh dear lord, this was getting quite annoying. She was so annoying that I was about ready to kill her right now. The only reason I came here was to find someone to feed upon. I hadn’t drunken any blood for about three weeks now so instead of a soft sky blue, my eyes were as red as blood.rnrnI looked up as I heard the restaurants door open. In came a frail looking girl with short blond hair and soft green eyes. She glanced around the room then saw me. I saw her eyes widen then she blushed very hard as she tried to look away. This was perfect. She would be extremely easy to lure to somewhere empty like an alley or something. I needed to somehow gain her trust, though, in order for that to happen.rnrnI saw the waitress sit her in the booth in front of me. Truthfully, I couldn’t help but stare. This girl was rather interesting. I saw the waitress come back to take the girls order. The waitress had to call her about five times before she responded. rnrn“Miss?” The waitress asked in an annoyed voice. The girl jumped a little in her seat.rnrnrn“Ah! O-oh, I’m sorry.” The girl smiled and took her cup of coffee out of her hands. The waitress grinned back, still annoyed, and walked away. I kept staring at the girl as she grabbed two packets of Splenda. She reached over to grab a container of cream but stopped when she realized there was none at her table. This was the perfect. This gave me a reason to talk to her and, as always like any other girl, she will want to talk to me more, even though she won’t show it right now and then I’ll lure her. “Excuse me, miss?” she called out, trying to get the waitresses attention.rnrnAs she was about to get out of her booth to contact the waitress I tapped her on the shoulder. I quickly grabbed a container of cream from my table and held it out to this peculiar girl. I put on my best smile.rnrn“Here.” I said. She smiled slightly as she took it from my hand. She glanced up at me before turning back around. Her face turned slightly pink.rnrnHow can I get her attention even more? Hmm… A sudden idea hit me; I could pay for her coffee and then insist that we talk. I could pretend to show an interest in her, too. I got up from my booth. rnrn“Excuse me, waitress?” I whispered quietly so the girl would not hear me.rnrn“Yes, sir?”rnrn“May I see that young girl’s bill; I would like to pay for it.” She glanced to the girl and glared, jealous. She probably thought I liked that girl. I smiled slightly.rnrn“Of course.” She handed me the bill and I grabbed some money out of my pocket to pay for it. After, I sat down back in my booth.rnrnAbout 3 minutes later, the girl in front of me finished her coffee. The waitress came to her booth as soon as she noticed.rnrn“Thank you for coming, miss. Come again!” The waitress managed to put on a fake smile. The girls face was filled with puzzlement. The waitress heard a customer calling her but as she was about to walk away the girl spoke.rnrn“Um, I’m sorry to bother you but, did you forget my bill?” I smiled. This was far too perfect! Nothing would be able to ruin my plan!rnrnrn“Oh,” she turned back around. “The young man behind you already took care of it.” She glanced towards me and it was obvious she was envious.rnrnAs soon as the girl heard this, she turned around to look at me. Her expression was, I would say, a mix of confusion and attraction. It was kind of cute. I just smiled warmly towards her. rnrn“May I sit with you?” I asked politely. She nodded, still embarrassed. I got up from my seat in the booth and sat across from her. I tried to refrain from doing any kind of expression besides smiling. “Skipping school, I see.” She giggled slightly awkwardly. This must’ve been weird to her. She looked kind of familiar-oh. I just remembered where I’ve seen her from. She ordered another cup of coffee while I was lost in thought.rnrn“How did you know?” she kept staring at her cup of coffee. rnrn“I think we might go to the same school.” I paused. “Why are you skipping?”rnrn“Why are you?” she asked quietly. I chuckled.rnrn“Touché.” I answered, smiling still. She was rather interesting, so interesting that I had actually considered not feeding upon her.rnShe finally looked me in the eye. “I’m Julian.” She held out her hand. I gently took her hand and instead of shaking it, I kissed it. She blushed furiously.rnrnrn“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Julian. My name is Hayden.”rnrnrnWe talked for a long time. After talking to such a pleasant person, I decided not to kill her. I would just find someone else to feed upon. As soon as we talked we instantly took a liking upon one another I liked this human... I think I liked this human a lot. Even though we just met, I think I might…I might love her.rnrnAs we left the restaurant, we exchanged goodbyes but I didn’t want that to be all, I wanted to see her again. I grabbed her wrist as she started to walk away.rnrn“Wait.” I spoke softly. She turned around and looked at me in the eye. I looked away, this time I was embarrassed. “Can I…uhm...Have your telephone number?” This was the most awkward thing I had ever done in my last 73 years as a vampire. She just nodded, embarrassed as much as me, and wrote down her number for me.rnrn“Call me whenever you like.” She smiled warmly. I think she might’ve been trying to act coy. I smiled to myself and left.rnrnAs soon as I left, a thought struck across my mind;rnrnIf we actually got into a relationship, would I be able to tell her…rnWhat I truly am?rnrn-END OF CHAPTER 1-rnChapter 2: The TruthrnrnIt had been 1 day since I met Hayden, the most perfect guy a girl could ask for.rnrnI was lying on my bed staring at my cell phone. It was 12:46 PM and I had started staring at my cell phone at 12:01 PM. I dialed Hayden’s number but I never pressed the SEND button. I was too nervous.rnrnJust then, my cell phone rang. I jumped up, a little startled, but then I checked the caller ID. rnrnThe caller ID read: HaydenrnrnI immediately answered and spoke with a big hint of embarrassment in my voice. rnrn“H-hello?” I said. I heard him chuckle over the phone.rnrn“Is this Julian?” rnrn“Y-yes?”rnrn“Um...Are you okay?” He asked calmly but I could tell he was suppressing a laugh. I took a deep breath to calm myself down, my heart was beating intensely. I successfully calmed myself down; well I calmed myself down enough to talk to him without stuttering.rnrn“I think so.” I giggled nervously. I heard him laugh again.rnrn“Julian?”rnrn“Yeah?”rnrn“Would you like to accompany me on a date?” At that time I thought my heart was going to burst out of my chest. I felt my face redden.rnrn“I….uh….uhm…well…..uh…uh…” I was too embarrassed to even speak. rnrn“No?” I heard him ask playfully. “Well, alright then-” I interrupted right away.rnrn“No!!! I…uh….mean yes!! I would like to accompany you.” I felt the words just pour out of my mouth. Again, he laughed. “Uhm…where to?” I spoke quietly. rnrn“How about we go to the park?” He asked calmly. I glanced outside. It was pouring.rnrn“When?”rnrn“Is today too soon?” I looked to my window again.rnrn“But it’s raining!”rnrn“They said it would clear up at 1 or 2 PM.” rnrn“Uhm…okay then. What time?” rnrn“1:30?” He asked with hope in his voice.rnrn“S-sure!!!” I half-yelled. rnrn“See you there, Julian.”rnrn“Bye.” I quickly shut the phone and jumped off of my bed. I walked over to my closet, picked out a nice outfit and headed towards the cabinet. I grabbed two towels and opened the bathroom door. I got undressed, went and took a nice hot shower. After, I blow-dried my hair, brushed it, and put on my outfit.rnrnI ran out of the bathroom and into my bedroom. I looked to my alarm clock. It was only 1:12PM. Darn it!! I’m so excited! I don’t want to wait! I wanted to see him so badly! I walked over to my bed, layed down, and stared at the clock. My eyes started hurting from staring so much that I decided to rest and close them for a minute or two. And guess what happened next? I fell asleep.rnrn---------------------------------------rnrnI woke up feeling rather drowsy. Even though I was still sleepy I got up right away and looked at my alarm clock. It was 1:45 PM!!! I was supposed to be there at 1:30!!! I ran out of the house immediately. Unfortunately, I was in such a hurry that I didn’t notice it was still raining. I got soaked head-to-toe immediately. But I didn’t care.rnAl l that I did care about right now was what he thought about me. He probably hates me! I finally arrived at the park. I stopped running and glanced quickly around the park. I saw him standing under a tree, staring at me. His expression, I couldn’t make out. As I started walking towards him I noticed he was trying not to laugh.rnrn“Out of breath, I see.” He chuckled. I noticed I indeed was when I had to lean against the tree for support. I breathed heavily.rnrn“Be quiet…” he smiled. I was, finally, able to breathe a normal pace again so I decided to start a conversation.rnrn“I see you were wrong about the weather.” I smiled towards him. He sighed. He started staring at me for some reason. “What?”rnrn“Julian, don’t tell me you didn’t bring an umbrella when you ran here.” He sighed again, this time disappointed in me. He pulled off his jacket and put it on me. “You’re going to get a cold.” I blushed. He smiled his perfect smile. “Since it’s raining, let’s go to a restaurant.”rnrnHe opened his umbrella and stepped out from under the tree. I stood there, still blushing.rnrn“Well, come on now.” He motioned for me to stand next to him under his umbrella. I hesitantly walked over to him. As we started walking out of the park he put his arm around me. I looked up at him, embarrassed. He looked away and smiled awkwardly. His arms were freezing! I shivered a little but he probably figured I shivered because I was still soaked.rnrn“This is so embarrassing.” He said.rnrn“W-what is?” My heart was, again, beating fast.rnrn“Being out with you on a date. It was so awkward for me to ask you out. I’m very nervous. I’ve only asked someone out before once.” rnrnI stopped walking. He stopped along with me.rnrn“What?” He asked, worried.rnrn“You’re kidding, right?” He shook his head innocently. “How many dates have you been on?”rnrn“Uhm...let’s see…three.”rnrn“Is that counting this one?”rnrn“Yes, I counted this one. Why?”rnrn“N-no reason.” I can’t believe he’s only been on three dates!! I mean, with his looks, he must get asked out all the time! “Did you ever have a girlfriend?” He smiled.rnrn“Yes. But she was so busy that we only went on two dates. She broke up with me after a week or so.” I didn’t want to pry and ask any more questions about relationships so I changed the subject. I chuckled, to lighten the mood.rnrn“You think this is embarrassing for you? How embarrassing do you think it is for me?” His blue eyes widened.rnrn“Is it?”rnrn“Being on a date with someone as great as you? Yeah. I think it is a little embarrassing.” I smiled awkwardly. He laughed. Then I noticed something as we both stared at each other in the eyes. Last time I saw him his eyes were red. Why were they all of a sudden blue?rnrn“Hayden, I thought your eyes were red.” He stopped laughing. He had a panicked look on his face but quickly calmed down.rnrn“Do I have any classes with you?” He asked quickly. rnrn“You’re not answering my question, Hayden.” I stared at him. He laughed.rnrn“Those were contacts, silly.” He ruffled my hair. I was still puzzled. If they were contacts, why didn’t he tell me when I first asked him? And what was with that panicked look he had earlier?rnrn“So? Do I have any classes with you?” He asked once more. I decided to think more about the situation a moment ago later.rnrn“I think we have…uhm….English together. I think. I’m not too sure.” I responded. He thought about it for a moment.rnrn“I think you’re right.” He motioned for me to start walking again. We both walked in an awkward silence. rnrnWe finally reached the restaurant and sat inside. I noticed it was the same restaurant where we first met. The waitress came over to where we were sitting to take our orders.rnrn“So, have you decided what you would like?” She asked happily.rnrn“Just water.” Hayden replied.rnrn“Would you like lemon in your water?”rnrn“Yes, please.”rnrn“And for you, miss?” She looked over to me.rnrn“Just a coke.” I smiled and she took our menus. rnrn“Not hungry?” he asked.rnrn“Not really.”rnrn“So, what are your hobbies?” Hayden asked me.rnrn“I like to paint. That’s pretty much it.” I smiled nervously. “What about you?” He shrugged.rnrn“I don’t really have a hobby.”rnrnThe waitress came back with my coke, water, an unsliced lemon, and a knife to cut it with.rnrn“Here you go, miss.” She handed me my coke.rnrn“Here you go, sir.” She handed Hayden his water.rnrn“Thank you.”rnrn“Just a second, I need to slice the lemon.” She got a napkin out of her apron and set the lemon and napkin on the table. She held the lemon in her hand and held the knife on it. She sliced it. But before it got sliced all the way, she cut her finger. And from the looks of it, pretty deep. I glanced up at Hayden, looked back to her and then stared at Hayden. His eyes were a deep bloody red. He covered his mouth immediately and ran to the bathroom. I stared after him suspiciously.rnrn“Are you okay?” I asked the waitress.rnrn“Yes. Thank you.” I handed her my napkin to clean up the blood on her finger. “Sorry. Is he going to be okay?” I smiled anxiously.rnrn“I think so. Can I have the bill? I think he’s sick so I need to take him home.” I lied.rnrn“Sure. Here it is.” She handed it to me and I paid for it. I stood up and walked over to the men’s bathroom door. I knocked three times on it. rnrn“Hayden? Are you okay?” It was silent for about 3 minutes then he responded.rnrn“D-did she clean up the blood?”rnrn“Yes.” I said suspiciously.rnrnBefore I knew it, he was by my side pulling me out of the restaurant.rnrn“Sorry. I get nauseated at the sight of blood.” He sighed while walking a little too fast.rnrn“Hayden, are you lying to me?” I looked him straight in the eyes. They weren’t sky blue anymore but they weren’t as red as a moment ago. His eyes were a little lighter shade of red.rnrn“No.” He answered back seriously. I decided that if I wanted answers I would have to interrogate him a little.rnrn“Then why did your eyes turn red when you saw it? And why are they still red?” His eyes widened. rnrn“No, my eyes never turned red.” He grimaced.rnrn“Hayden, I saw. Your eyes did turn red and they still are.” He got nervous. “Hayden, I know we just met a couple days ago but you can tell me anything. I don’t care what it is.” He frowned.rnrn“What if it’s something bad? What if you’d never want to see me again if I told you?” he paused, “What if you became frightened by me?” He stared at me, unsure. I was silent for a moment.rnrn“Then that’s my problem. Now, tell me the truth.”rnrn“Julian. I’m…” he paused. He looked away, ashamed. “I’m a vampire.” rnrnMy heart felt as if it stopped for a moment. This was impossible!! He’s probably just joking. I looked up at him. His face was serious.rnrn“I…I need to go.” I quickly turned away from his gaze. I felt his cold hand reach out to touch my shoulder but I walked away.rnrn“Julian?” I heard him speak softly with a large amount of pain in his voice. I ignored it and kept walking.rnrnrnrnrnrn | |
