Stayaway357 is heartbroken. Tragic.

My systems are all "boom! whack!" lately. Plans liquidated, inspirations drained, prospect of happiness zapped. I've been losing tears faster than the US is losing its dollars with the heated economy they have got back there.

I don't blame that other person for my tragedy. I have only myself to blame. I loved too much, trusted too much, believed too much. It's truly my fault. If I didn't give too much of myself, I would be able to pick up the pieces easily, move on easily. Sadly, that's not the case for me.

So... can anyone help me forget this whole thing? Can anyone move me from this crisis?

New L'Arc single! NEXUS 4 c/w SHINE!!!! Finally, we can all hear the much-awaited full-length version of that Seirei no Moribito anime theme song.... gawd how l'arc made us wait.


Anyway, it has not been confirmed whether there will be an accompanying P'UNK song to this new single (which will be released before summer 2008 ends). And, we are still not sure if the new single is a double-A side, or an A/B side single. Well whatever! That's not really of any importance. As long as L'Arc shows us some love, we are fine with that!


As all L'Arc fans can probably see, the band has been releasing singles (plus a superb album) like a vendor sells pancakes. They must have made a lotta songs these past few months/years so they were able to add several songs to their topnotch discography. However, all good things come to an end, as L'Arc enters into a THREE YEAR HIATUS right after they release NEXUS4/SHINE, until 2011, when all fandom will be celebrating L'Arc~en~Ciel's 20th Anniversary. Their guesting @ MUSIC STATION revealed that there will be a 20th Anniv Tour, and it will be a MEGA Tour. Woah. A "Mega Tour". Will they do some overseas concerts, like the L'7. Probably so.

Sad as this news may seem, let's just see this hiatus period as:
1. L'Arc's well-deserved rest. I mean, they've been working their ass off-- releasing 5 singles in a row (plus one incoming single) and a wonderful album, doing 4 tours in less than 2 years, performing @ several music shows on TV... They're humans too, they need a break! Plus, they also have their own private lives to attend tom, especially dear Tetchan who just married recently... I'm sure the four guys have a lot of catching up to do in terms of their family life.

2. What's more, they have their solo works to get busy with. HYDE has officially teamed up with K.A.Z and renamed his solo act from HYDE to VAMPS. They will be releasing their debut single "LOVE ADDICT" in July. Tetchan has only one single under his solo act "tetsu" (Can't Stop Believing), so I guess he'd add a few more to his discography in the next few months. Kenchan, like tetchan, also has a single single (SPEED). And I'm pretty sure he'd continue working with his S.O.A.P bandmates Sakura and Ein. As for Yukkie, the acid android already has a few songs under his belt. He might as well dish out more.

3. Lastly, let's just see this hiatus as a period for our beloved band to GROW, not only musicwise, but also individualwise (if there's such a word). We could all agree that L'Arc has displayed immense transformations whenever they return from hiatus in the past (i.e. pre-HEART, pre-SMILE, pre-KISS era) so it is safe to say that a good rest will do our L'Arc a lot of good.


With that said, I am positive about this hiatus. Fret not, L'Arc will not disband. Tetchan himself once said "This band will last as long as I live, I can't say when it'll end any more than I can tell when I'm going to die." Such a heavy statement from our band leader, and it only goes to show how the band values their being together. Let's continue supporting L'Arc~en~Ciel "saigo no finale o! YEAH!"

Huwah I am so happy today! L'Arc finally aded me to their FRIENDS LIST in myspace! rnrnI had a hard time understanding the LatinAmerica format of the site, as I can't connect to the English version of the site. Through much blood sweat bloodsweat I was able to register an account (as I did not have a myspace account prior to my knowledge of L'Arc and VAMPS having an account there). Don't worry, I was able to jump to the English version!!!!

Watching L'Arc during recording days really makes me appreciate their music more. I'm like, "No, that part of the song is not something that just popped out of tetchan's head... It was the product of intense thinking and consultation among the four members and the album producers!"

I also get to learn which songs the band had difficulty making... which songs each of the members gave most of their time and talent to...

Hyde's Family Background


Hyde's home at Kansai is a quiet place near the ocean and mountains.
Hyde's parents were wed very early and Hyde is an only child in the
family. He said, "My grandparents were very against my parents' getting
married, because they were just too young!" When Hyde was young, both
of his parents had to work, so everyday after school, Hyde had to do
all the chores.

Hyde's father opened a pub called "PUB HOUSE APPLES" in Kansai.
When Hyde was small, he would always wear a brightly coloured T-shirt
and a tie, and he would always sit in front of the bar counter, waiting
for his mom. Hyde's mom said, "Hyde was a very shy boy, but he was a
good boy." Because Hyde's mom wanted a girl, she always dressed hyde in
girly coloured clothes. Because of that, in kindergarten, Hyde had more
girl friends.. "

When Hyde was in gr. 6, his dreams was to become a manga artist!
Hyde's class mates said, "Hyde was really good at drawing - our
school's yearbooks, essay diagrams, etc., were usually all designed by
Hyde." XX (sorry, I don't know this school " Osaka Arts and Design
school principal said, "Hyde's eyes gave one a very special feeling,
very bright...I can still remember very clearly. When he just entered
the school, he said he wanted to draw manga that was like "Lupin III."
Hyde's best subject was art and his worst subject was math. Hyde likes
poetry very much, so he had collected many French poems even when he
was young.

After graduation, Hyde's most famous job was Mr. Donuts; he also
worked at other places, such as the bowling alley, music
companies...Hyde's dad said, "Just look at his eyes, they're still as
gentle as a girl's eyes...but we heard, Hyde is the manliest out of the
whole band...==" (seems like Hyde is doing just about every little
thing in the band) but in my eyes, he is still just a child, but at the
same time, he is my pride."

In gr. 5, Hyde learnt Shaolin martial arts, he became more
outgoing, and he also made many friends. (Because Hyde's dad felt that
Hyde cried too much, he made Hyde learn Shaolin. " Hyde's teacher
"Magamikiyooko" said, "Of course, I remember Hyde! He had a very pretty
face and he was very popular amongst the girls. When everyone was busy
preparing for the senior high exams, Hyde always had his own way of
preparing for them, and he said he had decided to do arts and design.
After graduation, I always saw him on his bike, wearing a backpack and
holding a handkerchief. I would ask him what was he doing, and he would
say, "I'm on my way to art class, but why I'm going, I don't yet..."
and then I would say. '"if you want to talk to someone, you can find me
at school or at my house." Hyde would answer, "Of course I'll come!"
and then he would ride his bike away.

At the time of band creation in Kansai, Hyde formed a band and he
was the leader. Hyde's father said, "After Hyde graduated, he worked at
my bar, he also worked on his band. I was really worried about him, but
he is the type of person that would work very hard to pursue his
dreams. Now he is very famous, I can finally feel at peace...because it
is a cruel world out there..."

HYDE changed his band name from HYDE to . . . . .

.... (bites him) VAMPS.

It's again, I guess, connected with his obsession with vampires (refer to his vampire costumes, Moon Child role, Roentgen songs, L'Arc songs esp Drink it Down, etc....!!!!! You get the point.) Well I don't have anything against it. I guess he's trying not to sound self-centered with the band name (all these changes just for poor poor KAZ),but I'm thinking that simply calling the band HYDE was better. He's the front act anyway, and I have a bad feeling that sales might be affected. I dunno... I hope not!

What kind of music will VAMPS produce? Judging from the band name, visual kei??? NOOOO!!!!!!!! Please god, no! I'd take a 666 remake anytime over a visual kei production. Please HYDE (and KAZ), we fans want a Roentgen remake. FAITH was superb, but a ROENTGEN remake would be breath-taking.

Well anyway, I gotta find someone who can translate in English (or Tagalog or japanese) the myspace Latin version for me. I've been emotionally torturing myself for not being a L'Arc and VAMPS friend up to this moment! Gawd i'm such a dorky fan. I need to register @ myspace ASAP! *attempts suicide but fails*
