History
Having debuted in the early 1990s with a Beatle-esque single, "Yabure Kabure," they soon had numerous successes with singles, "Gattsu Da Ze!!," and "Banzai." Their lead singer is Tortoise Matsumoto. The other members are: Keisuke Ulful on guitar, John B. Chopper on bass and Sankon Jr. on drums. In 1999 John B. Chopper left the group, which nevertheless continued on as a three member group. However, in 2002 Chopper returned to the group again, making it a four member group once more.
They got their name while browsing through a record shop. There was a record by "Soulfuls." Only "ULFULS" was visible on cover and the band was born! · close
