    Spontania (スポンテニア supontenia?) is a Japanese hip-hop/reggae group. The name "Spontania" comes from the English word "spontaneous".
    1996 Met in New York and formed the group "Hi-Timez".
    2004 Debuted under EMI as Hi-Timez.
    2007 Met Micro from Def Tech, who had just esablished his own label, "Primary Color Recordz", under Universal's Far Eastern Tribe Records label. The group's name was changed from Hi-Timez to Spontania.

    Massattack (マサタック masatakku?)
    Born in Yokohama. Studied in Boston while in high school. DJ'd in New York before debuting in Japan.

    Tarantula (タランチュラ taranchura?)
    Born 17th June, 1977, Tokyo. Went abroad to the US while in high school.

    Natori Kaori (名取香り "kaori")
    Born on September 3, 1982. Debuted as a solo artist in 2005. Recently joined Spontania as vocal artist as of March 2010.

    * Massattack and Tarantula have released 4 studio albums together, two of them as Spontania, Spontaneous and Music.

    *And they released one collaboration album in November 2009 called "Spontania Collaborations Best."
    This album featured artists such as AZU, Ito Yuna and JUJU with hits such as "Ima Demo Zutto" and "Kimi no Subete ni," and "Onaji Sora Mitsumeteru Anata ni." It also featured other Hip-hop artists such as SEAMO, WISE from Teriyaki Boyz and Micro, lead vocalist of HOME MADE KAZOKU.

    * With the success of Spontania's collaborations, they began working on their next project. And their popularity began to grow. In early 2010, Tarantula and Massattack met up with a vocalist, named Natori Kaori. She was a solo artist under the label of Stardust Music. Now it is unclear how it happened but they decided to collaborating with this artist and before long she become part the group.

    * Officially in March 2010, Natori Kaori who is referred to as "Kaori" joined as a vocalist to the band Spontania. She added a new element to the groups Hip-hop/Reggae style.

    * Also in March 2010, the new Spontania came out with a DJ collaboration album called DJ Spontania: Homeground Mix Vol. 1. It contained remixes of some of the most popular American Pop, R&B and Rap songs. Some artists included; DMX with his song, "Party up," Akon with the hit, "Beautiful." Other artists include Maroon 5, Fergie, LL Cool J, Eve, Christina Milian and even Diana Ross. · close
