Road of Major was formed in 2002 as a product of TV Tokyo's Hamaraja audition program. They performed 50 shows in 100 days in order to gain enough support froms fans so they can get into the top 50 in Oricon. If they succeed, they sign a contract with a major recording company, and if they fail, they will disband.
Everything went well at the beginning when their first single, Taisetsuna Mono peaked at no. 2 in the Oricon and has been sold by million copies. They also made history when becoming the first indie band to claimed the no. 1 spot in the Oricon with their debut album entitled ROAD OF MAJOR in 2003.
Altough they've got a contract in 2004, they've never achieved such success anymore. The members also got diferrent ideas and finally they decided to disband in 2007. · close
