Their original music which was influenced by Blues, Jazz, Classic, World Music, House, Grunge, etc., won many appraisal from many artists such as Ben Harper, Roger Joseph Manning Jr., El Presidente, etc. 19 EP and 7 original album have been released since their 10 years activity.
■ Biography

In 1996, Quruli was formed by three music lovers Shigeru Kishida, Masashi Sato, Nobuyuki Mori (Drums) in Ritsumeikan University, Kyoto.
After releasing two mini albums from Bad News Records, they signed with JVC Speedstar Records in October 1998 and released their debut EP "Tokyo" and gave a shock to the Japanese rock scene.
In April 1999, they released a full album "Sayonara Stranger"(Goodbye Stranger). In the summer, they joined the FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL for the first time.
In January 2000, their 2nd album "Zukan"(Picture Book) was released. In this album, collaboration with Jim O' Rourke had been carried out. They joined big summer festivals such as SUMMER SONIC, etc.
In January 2001, their 7th EP "Barano Hana"(rose) ranked No.1 in the chart of J-WAVE, the biggest radio station In Japan. "TEAM ROCK" their 3rd album was released next year and their 2nd show at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL had a regulation of entry since too many audiences rushed in. In September, Tasshin Omura joined the band.
After the release of their 4th album "THE WORLD IS MINE" in March 2002, Nobuyuki Mori left the band. In September, they toured US with The Dismemberment Plan the legendary Indies rock band of D.C. In the same year, their own label NOISE McCARTNEY RECORDS had started and have released many masterpieces such as Willie Wisely, John Vanderslice. and TV EYES the band of the member of ex-Jelly Fish have been released firstly in the world.
In 2003, Christopher McGuire a drummer they met at the US tour joined the band. Their 3rd show at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL had mobilized 10,000people.
In 2004, they played at SXSW. Their live at the show case of barsuk records won a recognition and many labels send them love call. Their 5th album "Antenna" ranked number 3 in the national chart and the sales marked 200,000. It took only 20 minutes for the tickets of their first show at Budokan which capacity is 10,000, to sell out. In October, Chirstopher McGuire left the band.
In 2005, they recorded in US and England. "NIKKI" their 6th album having Liam Watson who did the engineering "Elephant" by White Stripes as the producing is a rock'n roll album which is an homage of The Who and The Beatles that won the best applause from in and out Japan and hit in their career. In the summer, their 4th show at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL was played in the GREEN STAGE in front of 40,000 audiences. This fact leads us to a conclusion that they are the top of the rock bands in Japan.
In 2006, their first best album "Best Of Quruli/TOWER OF MUSIC LOVER" was released.
In 2007, under the influence of Classic Music, they went to Vienna to record their next album. This was the first for Japanese rock band to do recording in Vienna. In June, "Tanz Walzer" their 7th original album was released.
