Lucifer

Lucifer is a J-rock band formed in 1999 to promote an anime series, Kaikan Phrase. All the members use the name of their anime counterpart except for the vocalist who decides to kept his real name. The first 3 singles of the band were used as opening themes to the anime. After the anime had ended in 2000, the band decided to continue their career and making more musics afterwards. They did well in the Oricon, with all of their singles peaked at the top 20.

But with each members had different dreams and ideas, they announced that they are breaking up in October 2002. Despite of this announcement, they didn't stopped their activities immediately. They released the final album called "The Best", a compilation of their best songs.

A few weeks later, the band started their final tour called "Last Tour 2002-2003 Energy" which was spanning from 16 December 2002 to 10 January 2003, which included 9 shows. After that, they appeared for the last time in a TV music show, PopJam, on 11 January and then did their very last show (which was also their first show done abroad) at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand on 19 January.

After the break-up, Makoto went on his solo career using his given name at the first, before using his full name few years later. Yuki formed a new band called DUSTAR-3 along with two former members of Sex Machineguns, Noisy & Himawari. He is also a support member for Acid Black Cherry's live shows. Atsuro has been working with several J-Pop artists like megrock and Shoko Nakagawa, along with some other artists. He then joined Tokyo Anastasia with Yukiya (formerly of S-RAVE) and miyo (formerly of coo:ya). Towa and Santa formed a new band called Olive Sunday with Mine Norimasa. They also played in Makoto's first mini-album called "Vibration".

On 18th November 2009, the band announced their reunion on Mayu Shinjo's blog to commemorate their 10th anniversary. Although they were planning to make the announcement on 15th September, exactly 10 years after their debut, all members were too busy at that time and had to postpone the announcement. They are now signed with TNB entertainment. Their new website was launched on 6th November, but it's still under construction.
