While Die In Cries was a success in Japan, their time of activity was such that they were not able to reach a wider international audience. For this reason, many modern visual kei and japanese rock fans outside of Japan are unaware of the band, and they have inadvertantly been portrayed as a smaller less sucessful act than what they were.
