COLTEMONIKHA

Coltemonikha (コルテモニカ?), stylised as "COLTEMONIKHA" or "COLTEMÖNIKHA", is a Japanese electronica duo consisting of model and fashion designer Kate Sakai and record producer Yasutaka Nakata.

The group was formed as a project that combined music and fashion. The duo have produced two mini-albums to date, which were made to complement Sakai's fashion line "Made in Colkinikha". The name is a portmanteau of the brands "Colkinikha" and "Contemode".

Coltemonikha's music is technopop-styled with picopop and electronic influences. The lyrics, written by Sakai, generally carry a light-hearted mood and are written in both Japanese and English. Their music has been compared to the early work of the other Nakata-produced groups Capsule and Perfume.

Coltemonikha has released two mini-albums to date, the first on 17 May 2006 and the second on 26 September of the same year.
