In an music industry dominated by pop, they were perhaps the only rock band to gain mainstream success. They were known for writing songs with meaningful lyrics, some of which have been about social issues in the world at that time.
Despite gaining success in the Hong Kong industry they felt that their career had hit a cieling, in an music industry that ultimately still had no room for rock bands and music. Coming to the conclusion that they had a limited future in Hong Kong, they decided to venture into Japan.
They recorded a number of their songs in Japanese and generally felt positive that there was potential for them there. However, in 1993, the vocalist of the band, Wong Ka Kui, fell from a broken stage during the filming of a game show, and sustained massive head injuries. He fell into a coma, and did not regain consciousness, he passed away a week later aged only 31 years.
The three remaining members continued the band in Hong Kong, and formally disbanded in 2005 to pursue solo careers. · close
