    Biography

Hina and Yuki were old friends, and together they formed bands. Thanks to their mutual friend Maki, who came to their attention, they decided to create a band, and in July 1997, AZALEA was formed.

Hina was singer, Maki was bassist and Yuki was drummer, but the band kept changing guitarists. It seemed that the other members of the group were full of character and the guitarists just didn't stand up to this. SEANA left his previous band, and was immediately recruited by the three AZALEA members as their guitarist. At first he was a little unsure as to whether or not to join them, but finally decided to go for it.

The leader of this band was Hina. It was he who wrote the song lyrics and gave the 'tones' to the songs. With the dark topics, he tried to portray "picturesque landscapes of the defects and human defects". No small objective!

The band entered the ranks of the Matina label (owned by Kisaki), and did a few tours with other groups on this label, but of course, they also had a few onemans. They were very in with the 'Harajuku' scene, wearing black clothes, feathers or other vinyl SM themed clothes, still remaining traditional in their choice of heavy white make-up.

They started by releasing a demo tape named Kindan shôjô, and just six months later, they released Horobi no niwa.

On August 25 they released two maxi-singles, Fetish ~sadist no higeki and Fetish ~masochist no higeki. After this they had a tour with DAS:VASSER. They released some tracks on an omnibus album, but other than that, they didn't release any more CDs.

AZALEA disbanded on June 28, 2000 and released just one more CD as a leaving present to their fans: Môsô ni shiru.

After AZALEA disbanded, Hina and Yuki started another band, Sally, which they later renamed to Schellen. After Schellen disbanded, Hina formed another band under the name of CHELSEA, but things seem to be quiet from him after their disbandment.
Yuki on the other hand joined Emmuree after Schellen, and Maki started Mebius, but things are also quiet from him too. Guitarist SEANA appears to have disappeared completely. · close
