Arc was sign with Osaka indies label UNDER CODE PRODUCTION on July 1st, 2006. Their first release with label backing was the single "Rakugaki Kyoukasho", which was released four months after joining. Like many other UNDER CODE bands, Arc's concept was 大人になりたくない子供達 (Otona ni Naritakunai Kodomo-tachi; Children who wouldn't like to become adults). Before the release of their second mini-album Departure of one's lot, Arc took a hiatus and then decided to drop their band concept, and changed their oshare-kei styling, sound, and their name to Arc. After the release Arc adopted a more darker visual look and sound. They disbanded on April 30th, 2011.
