To be honest, I have faith in Moyes. He may not be the most exciting manager, but I expect him to do a good job. One of the things Ferguson said to the fans in his farewell speech was to "stand behind the manager" and to "give him time". I genuinely don't expect Moyes to do poorly, but even if he does, I think he will be given time. There are no other managers that I can really picture as being the Man Utd boss.
I hate listening to rumours and speculations. Some of those things may have happened, but more often than not they're all lies. It could be true that players had a problem with AVB, but conversely a lot of players liked Mourinho and Di Matteo, but that didn't prevent them from losing their jobs. Abramovich just seems to do what he likes. Incidentally, it seems that Lampard may be getting that new contract after all.
Whatever happens, I expect Moyes to be at Man Utd for quite a while. Even if he struggles in his first few months, he will be given time because Ferguson won't let him be sacked. I can't see Man Utd becoming like Chelsea, they're not going to sack a manager unless it really goes that badly. Fans wouldn't want it that way either, they want a manager that stays there long-term and I expect that to happen.
AVB got sacked simply because the results weren't going well. What Lampard or any of the other players think doesn't really matter. I don't think Abramovich cares what players think, otherwise he would've given Lampard a new contract by now.
And yeah, I'm surprised how well Bayern's doing this year. Have to admit I'm supporting Dortmund in the Champions League final though 
It's a tough one. Obviously it would have been incredible to see Jose Mourinho at Man Utd, and he would have guaranteed them trophies, but considering the philosophy of Man Utd, maybe he wouldn't have been a good fit.
David Moyes is a long-serving manager, British and is of a similar mould to Sir Alex, so he is probably the right man to replace him. I guess only time will tell, but I think he will do alright there.

Yeah, it's a possibility. I wouldn't mind to be honest, but I kinda like the fact that there are two european competitions. It would also make qualifying for the Champions League slightly less special since it will be easier to qualify. But like I said, I wouldn't mind too much, either way sounds good to me 
Oh really? I didn't hear anything about that. Don't really know what I think about that to be honest. I assume that the Champions League teams would need to play more games as a result, so I don't know if some of the teams would be happy about it. But yeah, it might be a good idea

To be fair, practically all teams have bought their share of flop players, including Man Utd. Also, Chamakh didn't do too badly when he started at Arsenal, but when Van Persie was fit his chances were limited. And Arsenal has already bought a playmaker in Cazorla, and he played very well against Sunderland, creating chances that should have led to goals.

I thin the idea that Arsenal only buy young is a fallacy, if you look at their recent buys then you would see many of them are experienced. I personally don't believe Arsenal have such money as Man Utd do, Man Utd have spent an excess of £20 mil on some players but I don't see Arsenal having the same luxury.

Hmm... I don't think they are exactly wasting their potential. They are not as rich as most other 'big' clubs, and the fact that they can perform so well without spending is admirable. There's more to football than just throwing money around to try and get the best players and Arsenal don't do that, they invest on the young and earn huge profits from doing so. It's unfortunate for Arsenal that they have not won a trophy in years, but their consistent in that year after year they finish within the top four of the league.

Chelsea has been so busy during the transfer window that I forgot all about Marin xD. To be honest, I don't really know him too well, but I've heard positive things about him. I expect Chelsea to sign a few more players before the end of the transfer window

Haha, to be honest I didn't really care much for the Olympic football, in fact I wanted South Korea to win. I wasn't even watching because I was busy watching the athletics and it was an incredible night for GB athletics, 3 golds in a space of an hour. Made the whole country proud :3
