to me...I like UVERworld and Orange Range..but know STEREOPONY is the ichiban..

I'm not really sure....I believe I heard Megumi Hayashibara and Maaya Sakamoto before I heard Ayu's songs...And when I heard Ayumi Hamasaki's Trauma (the first song I heard from her) I was like "What the heck is this???" x) But after that came Evolution and Moments, and I began to realize that she is the most amazing jpop artist!!

Hikaru Utada definatly and GO!GO!7188 got me listening and looking for more jpop. Songs from Ghibli movies got me listening to Japanese music in general.

i first fell in love with J-Rock. the band/artist were UVERworld and Hyde 
when i found J-Pop i fell in love with KAT-TUN and Nana Kitade
tee hee~
i found them all via anime and j-dorama
The first artist and song I heard was "My Will" By: Dream.
Unfortunately that wasn't what got me into Japanese Pop...
It was Ayumi Hamasaki.
The First song I came across was "Walking Proud" along with the video.
I Immediately fell in love with the song and the video.
Ever since I can't say any other Japanese artist has amazed me as much as she has.

Honestly I didn't like, Japanese Pop back then...
But Exile change my mind, on Japanese Pop...
I was way into Korean Pop back then...
but after finding out Super Junior remake "Kizuna" into 'Keeping touch" damn...
sounds more nicer in Japanese XD was nice in Korean too.
It was actually a group of artists that got me into jmusic for good, considering I'll probably be listening to it for a long time:
Utada
BoA
Hamasaki Ayumi (was the biggest influence)
Kitade Nana (Obviously)
Dir En Grey... which is kind of the odd one out here
