the first ever japanese word i learned is KONNICHIWA from my japanese classmate! 
the first phrase I ever learned was oi omaera shinitai ka?
lols some people might find that^ offensive
Mine's probably "ninja" from american movies. or maybe "karaty" from my stupid classmates in 1st grade

i dont really know or remember what the first word i learned was,... but it was probably "Ushiyo" which translates to "cow" ...
i know, weird, but i had a weird obsession of how to say "go eat a cow" in as many languages as possible, and so i learned that lol
I think mine was "gomenasai". I heard it as a kid from a game my brother had on his playstation 1.

i think it was arigatou or konnichiwa...but i'm not sure >_<
first words were learnt as a kid, words like konnichiwa, karate, karaoke, sushi
after starting to watch anime, and listen to japanese songs, the first word that i picked out, and realised what it meant by myself was "boku"
ikimonogakari Bluebird "Habata itara modorenai itte itta" haha that's what I first learned lol!
First japanese thing I learned : Baka.
Mine was "Kawaii" XD ><
Mine were: Suki dayo (lol, male speech xD)

I thought it was arigatou, easy to pronounced.

I'm pretty sure it was konnichiwa... arigatou came soon after.
My first word, I still remember,
I've met a chinese girl, later we became friends,
I was always texting with her and she used to say
'kawaii' or 'aishiteru'
that's the first word I've learned.
Later I started watching anime,
like Shaman King & Naruto,
that's when I learned words like,
'baka', 'arigatou', 'ohayou', 'sayonara', 'konichiwa', 'itadakimasu', 'gozaimasu',
I learned 'hai' from the anime movie 'Spirited Away'
'Moshi moshi' from 'Death Note'
And now I still learn words from Kpop,Jpop music / Anime

Kimoochii lol due to my cousin brothers watching japanese adult films lol when i was around 7 i thought it sounded cute so kept saying it around XD
I think it was arigatou because i remember in my game Naruto Ultimate ninja Heroes 2 for psp at the final of the game, Princess Kasumi says "Arigatou..."

my first word in japanese was"yakitori" i was actually born in japan and i went with my mom to market everyday and there was a man who had a yakitori cart and mom would give me some yen and i would go with her and get my yakitori. the second phrase i learned was "arigotou gozaimasu" then "ohayou"
